Pretty great diner, if a little bit expensive for your standard Americana thoroughfare. I had the 2-2-2, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon strips, 2 eggs, for around $12, and it was very filling. The pancakes are huge and fluffy, the scrambled eggs were great, and the bacon was crispy. I was also able to try the Nikki melt, which was an amazing melt sandwich with the right amount of grease to give it that perfect crust outside. Service was good too. In spite of the place being literally packed to the gills we were able to seat 2 and finish lunch in just under an hour, seating time taking less that 10 minutes easily. The waitress was also nice, though as it would be expected due to the after church lunch rush she was a bit busy, which is completely reasonable. I will be coming back here to try out the rest of their menu.
Great food , friendly staff and down home town cooking what can you say? It a villapark. Illinois favorite& Du Page County top dinner for Local eats.... Best French Toast I've had in a long time. Service was amazing and it's got the local feel that I love. It was a little chilly inside this morning but nothing a light jacket or sweater can't handle. I would definitely come here for a good breakfast again. Parking: Lots of parking
An awesome neighborhood gem, Hi-View was just what we needed for a Sunday morning breakfast spot. We were seated immediately, and the service was friendly and attentive. Our breakfast items were the cure for our early morning cravings, wonderfully delicious and absolutely satisfying. Happy-belly achieved! Food: 5/5
What a fantastic spot to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. I was totally impressed by the operation. They have a large menu to satisfy everyone's taste. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the coffee. It is one of those classic diners that are really tough to find nowadays. If you are looking for a great place to grab a bite, then I highly suggest stopping by.

Been there several times in the past year. Have always had a good meal. Plenty of food. One time my sausages tasted a bit off. Don't know if it was the brand or if they were old. Servers have always been friendly and prompt. A bit noisy at times, but it's a diner. Next time they re-do the ceiling, I suggest investing in sound tiles. I honestly think all food service places should do this unless the ceiling is antique.
Great diner and worth the the drive. Came here for lunch after looking at reviews. Super quick, friendly and attentive service. I was startled Ordered and was eating in less than 5 minutes. Both sandwiches were full of meat. Philly steak and cheese sammich was delicious. Big chucks of steak! So much food, I saved some for another meal. The rueben was tasty too. One of a kind thousand island sauce.
Not a bad place. I can see why people like it. They offer a good variety of foods. The foods remind me of southern comfort foods; very rich and buttery. I ordered steak medium cooked and got a well done one. You can tell from the picture there is no pink at all. I let the waitress know and they offered to have it replaced, but I didn't want them to go through the trouble. Other than that, not a bad place. I prefer the Simon's in Villa Park, but they are about the same type restaurant.
