Great burgers and a simple menu to order from. Not too many options but their burgers are incredible. Most of the orders were take outs but they do have sitting arrangements. The burgers have thin patties which i absolutely love! and they recommend you get the double patties so I did. It was perfectly cooked and it was juicy and there was enough sauce on the burgers. The fries are fantastic its crispy its thin exactly the way i like them. I went for a split shake with chocolate and banana as flavours but they made a mistake and gave me chocolate and vanilla but I didn’t want to bother them to change it because they were busy and that can happen. The prices were very reasonable and the good thing about theme they are open till late.
I like this quaint burger shop. It’s vegan but they sell ground beef as well. It’s small inside but there is seating outside the establishment. The staff is friendly and even when they are busy they still made sure to handle each customer with care. Which I loved. They do allow take out and they have Apple Pay. I ordered a burger- it was tasty. The burger has a thin patty, so if you prefer a traditional burger you may want to opt for a double cheeseburger-keep in mind they are still relatively small. They don’t have bacon-keep that in mind. I also don’t care for the lack of hand sanitizer since there isn’t a bathroom available. They do have banana milkshakes-they taste like banana pudding. I’m obsessed with them. So I go here anytime I’m craving it. They also have a punch card that gives a free double cheeseburger after you’ve purchased 10. I definitely recommend eating here. I do every chance I get.
I give 3 starts because the burger was salty salty but it was good.. But very salty… but the fries were black, hard, burnt, and really greasy… Most of the fries in my bag was darker then my skin color…. I would eat here again and I would suggest less less less less salt on the burger… And just completely skip the fries because I went to their instagram page and Seen pictures of fries looking like the ones I got today but my ones were a little more black… 3 stars is fair enough… But maybe it’s a little unfair because I do come from NYC where you can go to the corner bodega and get the same burger and fries for less money but it would be a solid 5 stars…. The cashier was amazing… Down to earth friendly girl…. she earned her tip…. but the late at night Friday chef needs to use way less salt and stop making the fries black … a hard greasy salty mess.. But it was very busy so that may be the reason. But dang $13 for that mess… I will try again on a less busy day and then update my review.. I honestly want to give 2 stars.. but 3 is fair..
Was really glad to see a new vegan burger place open up that had really decent prices. Burger was good but their fries were incredible! Had to get two orders just to satisfy my hunger for them. Nice touch that they offer vegan shakes too.
Shared one of my favorite spots in all of Albany with my mom for the first time. Even though I live in PA.. I always make sure I stop by Herbie's whenever I can. Unfortunately was staying in Albany this time due to my father being hospitalized at Albany Medical. It was a Sunday night and a holiday and while most other restaurants were closed... Herbie's not only was open but their customer service was stellar! The burgers , fries and shake are always delicious and you won't walk away regretting coming to this gem on Lark St!!! Only criticism if any at all ... be prepared that parking is limited but even with that.. it's worth the short walk.
Consistently inconsistent, especially if there’s any fault on their end. Misplaced my order today and after waiting for 45 minutes received this photo included This is pretty much the result 50% of the time, still wanted to stay local with the cash flow. Regardless, after today, have to find a better local burger joint to smash down burgers and shakes at.
I hate to trash a place. But I took the first bite out of a over priced double cheese burger and almost threw up... Check out the photos. I am pretty sure the guy taking the orders was high as a kite. That is a picture of a burger. I suggest you fire your staff and start over.
I'm so excited to have this new burger spot on Lark St. Reasonably priced food with small menu. Got regular double cheeseburgers with french fries and a vegan strawberry milkshake. Completely blew my expectations! Delicious burgers with basic but flavorful ingredients, keeping it simple. Fries were shoestring and had a great crisp. The vegan milkshakes was made with cashews so it has a strong nutty flavor but it paired well with the strawberry taste, kinda like a pb&j combo.
This place is clean. A nice size for several people to eat in booths. The food is very reasonably-priced. you can’t beat $5.95 for a fresh made-to-order burger with everything on it. The burgers are good and fresh; reminiscent of In-N-Out Burger, if you’re familiar with that popular western chain. The fries are shoestring and delicious - nice and crunchy- not salty but no salt needed. Not greasy or hard. I enjoyed my meal here and they have excellent customer service. They also serve vegan shakes with their own house-made tahini and oat milk, giving it a delicious nutty flavor as promised. I had the banana, my mother had the strawberry, and they were both equally good and flavorful. I could see this becoming a staple in my household, especially for my kids and teenagers.
This place was open late on a Sunday! The burger was great. I ordered a double cheese burger with bacon it was great, and there was not so much going that you can't taste the ingredients. Not too salty. The fries were soggy and salty but I still enjoyed the real potato fries. The Vanilla Vegan Shake was hands down the best compliment to the burger and fries. The next thing I'll try will be the vegan burger.
