Hennessy's Irish Pub & Whiskey Bar

I was super excited to finally get out, as a mother of four and a bar manager/tender til wee hours of the morning, i have a particular standard of service excellence! So, never been to Hennessey's before and likely won't return...😕 we walked in pub side and sat. Not super busy. Meanwhile 3 staff members held up end of bar. We sat for about 5 min, I got up and walked to other side, to no avail. My friend went to bar side and servers walked away from him. We were not greeted in any way. Finally when gal did acknowledge us, it surely was an inconvenience that we wanted food and drinks, huh..pub/restaurant?! She left and came back and we were asked if we knew what we wanted. I informed her we had never been there before, she stated the kitchen closed in 5 minutes, at 9pm?! what? Seriously, on a sat night, after we've sat and waited! We chose to leave and in parking lot watched 2 servers we saw holding up the bar go outside to smoke! Thanks for the shittiest service I have had in a long time. Sad that I did not get to have an enjoyable Irish pub experience!👎

Great food and beer! My husband had the shepherds pie that was amazing!! I loved the different beers on tap and they had a good kids menu as well. Loved the atmosphere and they had live entertainment as well. This was walking distance from the Holiday Inn so it made having a couple beers and walking back a no brainer. Great service and really good food!

Took all my employees here for lunch, 3 of us ordered fish and chips and we all got upset stomachs from it. Burger's were good just a little pricey.

Hennessey's Irish pub proved an excellent place for food and beverage during Bike Time. It was walking distance from the chaos of Thunder road, and separate rooms for bar and band or a quieter dining area. The food was good and some respite from all the heat and noise. I'll go back for the charm and a whiskey when I return to Muskegon.

We enjoyed a Great corned beef and cabbage and pot pie. They have happy hour specials too. The menu also includes burgers and other yummy items. Check them out!
