Story

At Helmbrecht Dental we are dedicated to providing the best in patient care and a positive patient experience for everyone. Dr. Helmbrecht has been in practice at the same location for over 30 years and loves his patients and our community. As a father of three athletic kids Dr. Helmbrecht is an advocate of youth sports and has sponsored many of our young athletic patients in the community. Patient comfort and wellbeing is our top priority and we treat our patients as if they were a member of our own family. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is dedicated to making our patients feel comfortable from the moment they first contact us until the time that they leave our office. I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Mike and his wonderful team at Helmbrecht Dental! My daughter and I have been going there for almost 2 years, and we love it. Those who work there provide a friendly, welcoming, and caring environment, always greeting us with a smile when we walk in. Their equipment is always clean and the staff there always display beyond standard hygiene. I have been seen by both Dr. Mike and Dr. Chang, and both are amazing dentist! They make me feel comfortable (I grew up afraid of the dentist), welcomed, and take the time to explain what they are doing at the beginning of the appointment, during, and provide a recap at the end, as well as cover what the next step is in dental care, and answer any and all questions with patience and grace. My daughter, who is now 4, loved going to see them, even when it's not her appointment. Every staff member treat her with just as much respect and courtesy as they treat me, they are always nice to her and not only speak to me during her appointments, but also talk with her about her own dental health, and explain to her what she is getting done in a way she can understand. She has only been seen by Dr. Mike, whom she really like because of his kind manner and interaction with her (he has, during past appointments talked with her about things she knows about and likes, like Puff the Magic Dragon) that speaks volumes of his bedside manner. Although my daughter has not been seen by Dr. Chang, based on her interactions with her during my last appointment (encouraging my daughter see what they were doing when she became curious, asking my daughter questions and talking with her), provides a wonderful insight to how she is with younger patients, and reinforces my being comfortable and confident with my daughter seeing her at future appointments. Again, I cannot say enough positive thing about Helmbrecht Dental, this is a fantastic establishment, with awesome staff members and amazing dentist.

We’ve been going to Dr. Mike for the last 3 years for myself and my 3 older kids. My boys love Dr. Mike. He jokes with the boys (now 5,6) and makes them comfortable in the dentist office. We’ve never had a bad visit and are happy to have had a good experience while stationed here.

I took my 9 year old recently who has anxiety at the dentist to have Dr. Chang fill four cavities. I was so worried she would refuse to have the work done. Dr Chang was so patient and explained each and every task she did and my daughter did amazing and now loves he dentist. The staff at Helbrecht dental is also so amazing and kind and makes you feel as though you are coming home for a visit each time you enter the office. I would highly recommend this dental office for all ages. It’s truly a jewel in Fairbanks

Dr. Mike is just AMAZING! And so is his staff they make the fear of being at the dentist go away Dr.Mike has been improving my smile one,step at a time . I freaking love Helmbrecht dental and their staff who are simply the best I have been seeing .

I've been going to Helmbrecht Dental for over a year and I've had the best experience! Not only is Dr Helmbrecht amazing at what he does but he is backed by an amazing staff that truly cares! They always make sure you are utilizing all your dental benefits and make sure you are in the loop!
