I had the best trip with Hello Nature, Easter Weekend during the herring spawn. Kevin was organized, communicated well had patients with all of my questions. I joined the group as a solo old lady and felt very welcome. Eric made us delicious food, shared lots of facts about sea-life and indigenous history. We saw Gray Whales, Orcas, a Sea Otter which is a big deal! Sea Lions, Sea creatures, a beautiful sunset and shared stories around an evening beach campfire. Our gear was immaculate, safe and if they had control over the weather they get 5 stars for that too. Perfect 2 day paddle. Highly recommend
What an awesome weekend kayaking! We booked in for the herring spawn in the spring with Hello Nature, so of course weather could have gone either way, but we lucked out. Our tour guide Eric was fantastic; knowledgeable, funny and super attentive to everyone's needs and wants. One of the stand-outs of the company, for me, was the accessibility. I'm plus sized 5'8, women's size 18 and not only did they have everything in my size, it wasn't even a concern. There was no dithering, or pointing out anything, the kayak and gear were already the correct size when we arrived, it was just great. My best friend who is 6'4 had the same experience, everything was sized accordingly without any fuss. All the gear was in great shape, clearly well cared for and top of the line. Throughout the weekend the food was top notch, and it was clear that a lot of care and consideration was put into each part of the trip. I would highly recommend the company to anyone, and especially to locals who might want to do a trip in the shoulder season when there is a ton of wildlife around.
We booked the three day glamping package and it was fantastic. Kevin couldn't have been more accomodating. He was very helpful and worked around the road closure to the best of his abilities. We loved every minute of the trip and our guide Nolan was so knowledgeable and attentive. He answered every question and worked to give us the tour of the Broken Group that we hoped for. We saw plentiful wildlife and we were able to scout out several little islands. The food was perfect and well prepared. After our day of kayaking, we returned to our campsite and we enjoyed a nice dry bed in our camping pod. It was so easy to get a great night of sleep to be ready for the next day! This was an unforgettable experience! Thank you to everyone at Hello Nature!
Kevin and the guides, Jeremy and Emma, made this trip amazing. Kevin and Hello Nature have thought of everything and supply everything except your clothing, sleeping bag and personal items. The food was exceptional and plenty. This was not a location for the beginner kayaker due to tides, currents, surf landings and launches. We all had kayak experience and respect of the water. The group was truly lovely, interesting and curious. It was a wonderful trip.
We booked a three day kayak trip in The Broken Group. What a fantastic trip. Our guides Nolan and Christina were fantastic! No only where they wonderful kayak guides, their knowledge about the Broken Group, its culture and history, and wildlife was amazing. The food was fantastic as well as the conversation and paddling. We highly recommend Hello Nature, and we also suggest a minimum 10% tip for each guide. They are well worth it. Kevin was great and all equipment was top notch. They take care of everything and have safety as the top priority. I highly recommend Hello Nature.
We had an awesome day trip with Kevin and Kelsey as our guides, through the Broken Islands. Kevin shared a ton of information regarding the First Nations culture and history in the area. Lunch was great, the pace was relaxed and we managed to see sea lions, eagles, a WHALE, and more. Highly recommend and hope to come back for a 3 day tour!
My friend and I did the day trip to the Broken Group. It was exactly what I hoped for. The guide, Phil, did a good job of taking things at a pace we could all manage while sharing information about the First Nations of the area and their culture and history, and pointing out cool wildlife. It was a very satisfying way to spend a day, and I'm already thinking about when I can come back.
Kevin and his team are very knowledgeable on the area, gear was top notch. Overall, a wonderful paddling experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hello Nature!
My wife and I had an unforgettable time on the water with Jeremy. Extremely knowledgeable on everything, be it the wildlife we saw deer, sea lions, seals, countless bald eagles, a golden eagle 95% sure, king fisher, oyster catchers, blue herons, cormorant, murre, jelly fish, all types of sea plants including bull kelp which we got to taste, starfish etc etc. We also found it very interesting the history he knew of the area including the traditional whaling practices by the local indigenous etc. we felt very safe the entire time, had a wicked lunch on one of the island beaches, and found the guide very easy going and considerate. All around excellent time and highly recommend. Thanks Kevin and Jeremy.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time with our guide Jonathan from Hello Nature Adventure Tours on our day trip to the Broken Group of Islands. Neither of us had any previous sea kayaking experience and we were completely comfortable on the water for the whole day. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and approached everyone in our group with authentic kindness. Kevin the owner went out of his way to accommodate us for the day trip and it’s clear that he runs a ‘top shelf’ operation! A must do when in Ucluelet!
