The sandwich is amazing. I get the ham combo, and I swear it taste just like my moms! So delicious I had to come back again the next day. Their bubble tea is great to!
Fresh fruit tea actually had fresh fruit in it!! It was delicious!! I ordered a grilled chicken and bbq pork belly Bahh mi for my son and I and it was sooooo delicious!!! The bread wasn’t hard, they were generous with the pickled vegetables which I love and a lot of places doesn’t give enough!!! meat was moist and fresh and overall just loved my first experience here. I will be a frequent customer here
Hello Banh Mi, meet Mr Tasty! When you first pick up a footlong for your first bite, you almost want to say, "Well helll-loooo banh mi." This place is legit. I've had three different banh mi sandwiches now, so time for a review. All have been excellent. The bread is clearly fresh with a perfect crust. I have to tape measure next time because I'm pretty sure their footlong is more than 12-inches long. It's been so long since I've ordered a banh mi with shredded chicken I forgot that means it's shredded to a fine hair. Chicken tasted great just not a fan of that style. Again it Tasted great with a nice flavor. But my tried and true bbq pork belly was fantastic. Lessons learned: any banh mi place serving the typical 6-8 inch isn't quite enough. Nice to have a footlong option. get footlong! I like veggies. Sandwich is really good with no extras but I like a thick sandwich. Get extra veggies, they could pickle them just a bit longer. I'm not sure what sauces come by default but be sure to ask for siracha and hoisin. If you are taking it to go but not home, make sure you get something to spread the sauces on the sandwich or you'll be bumming and have to use your finger which really isn't that bad, simply dip, swipe, lick, clean. After all, you're using your hands to eat it right? : I haven't felt a need for extra meat and veggies but if you do. That will make it two meals for a normal person, ASSUMING one person can refrain from eating it all in one seating. One visit I got it at lunch time but didn't eat it until dinner. Sandwich was still in great shape. Bread still crispy crust, not soggy in middle. Probably because most of the liquids you put on yourself when you're ready to eat it. Service: place is run by some young, very well mannered kids. It's refreshing to see gen "young" treat people with an honest mutual respect. This place will get busier and busier I hope they don't explode. Parking: non issue. Granted I've never been to Vietnam, but I've been working in pioneer square for over 20 years. I've had my share of banh mi's walking to China town and on occasion to Vietnam town. I have a good base to compare.
I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars because the service was worth 10 stars. They are so, so polite and so friendly. But, our Banh Mi's were around 3 stars. The bread was a bit dry, the meat and veggies could've had more flavor. I've had many Banh Mi's in my life from many different places and the food just falls short. We also ordered the cheese and bacon fries and the fries were drenched in American cheese which is ok, but wished it was cheddar cheese. With that said, hubby got the Oreo/Cocoa slushy with Salted cheese and it was VERY good! We've had the Salted cheese from different Boba tea places and they have the BEST I've tried! Thanks again for the amazing service.
My husbands and I go to Bahn Mi place! We’ve tried most of the sandwiches, and love them for the most port. The BBQ pork belly isn’t what you’d think though…unless you do know. Lol but it was pretty fatty. The bread is pretty crunchy? Like a typical baguette but more crusty. One time I hurt my gum biting into it, but it didn’t matter enough not to go back. Service is always friendly!
One of my favorite place to get bahn mi. Staffs are friendly, bahn mi are nicely prepared with many different choices of meat. I'd like to have the vegetables packed separately so I can re-toast the baquete when I do take out. I have tried both the long and think bread vs the short and thick bread - I personally like the the short and thick bread version better. There are plenty of choices for drinks - smoothies, shakes, boba tea, etc. I have not gotten a chance to try it out but intend to. Some seatings inside and outside but neither is available at the moment as people seems to be doing takeouts. Plenty of parking on the strip mall.
Haven't had a banh mi in a while so decided to try this place. Definitely satisfied with my order. Most of the time when I order banh mi at other places there's no meat and mostly vegetables. This one was the opposite. Grilled pork had a lot of flavor and the bread was very crispy and delicious. If you're looking for a good banh mi place in Kirkland. Definitely hit this place up. Well worth it imo.
The lemongrass banh mi was just right...crusty bread, tasty meat and plentiful pickled radish. I ordered the half foot. It was definitely longer than 6" and jam packed. He gladly cut it in half when I asked. The fish sauce wings were plump and juicy. Most importantly, everything was made fresh. While waiting for my food, I watched the lady squeezed grapefruit for juice for a drink for another customer! I'll try their fresh fruit drinks next time. Also, I'm eyeing the Philly Cheesestake sandwich in the same crusty roll, with grilled onion no less. Thumbsup to the two staff are so dedicated. Vegetarian options: Plenty of fruit drinks and tofu as an option for filling in banh mi. Wheelchair accessibility: The store is flat, with 2 doors and wide enough aisle for a wheelchair. From the ordering station it is a straight shot to a spacious bathroom. The ordering counter is lower in height. My father was wheelchair bound towards the end of his life and my impression was that he could have managed here. Since I am not the one using a wheelchair, I could be missing something.
We came here when they first opened. I think they were still working out a few kinks at the time, so I would say the overall experience was a 4 star. However, we tried it again today, and everything was so much better! Highly recommend the BBQ pork belly. It's a cross between Chinese BBQ Pork Char Siu and thinly sliced pork belly. The meat was so tender and flavorful! The grilled tofu bahn mi was also good. Another thing that impressed us were the Shrimp Wraps Scallions. They were basically deep fried spring rolls with a whole shrimp and a piece of green onion in them. Super crispy and very tasty :
The first time I went I got the pork sandwich. It was bland, lacked taste. 2 star experience. After reading the comments I went back and got lemongrass, with extra veggies. And this time there was jalapeños in it. Way better. Would give 5 stars but for the first experience.
