I ordered the perogies which was wonderfully done. The dish came with chicken bites which was juicy and great seasoning to it which reminds me of Lebanese type of food and the pulled pork was just off the charts fantastic. I see why they're known for it, next time I'm in Quesnel I'm definitely coming back and getting a pulled pork sandwich.
Best pulled porkand biggest sandwich I've ever had. Waitress did a nice job considering she was the only one and the place was quite busy. Will return.
This place was great! We ordered the dinner for 2 platter, the variety of goodness was amazing! We ordered take out and everything was neatly wrapped up with everything we needed. She even separated it up into two meals for us so we didn’t have to mess around with it. The Pulled pork sandwich was perfect, not too messy, not dry at all, so yummy. I would highly recommend this business and the food!! Thank you!
Had the pulled pork and also ordered my lunch for tomorrow, the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and chicken. Both dishes we delicious.
Was just ok , really need to work on their service , went back to give it another chance and tried the pulled pork but no service fora while, we walked out!
I have to say this is one of the best pulled pork sammidge’s I’ve ever had! The bread had a perfect texture & wasn’t overwhelming, well done!! We will be back definitely a must try for anyone travelling through.
Food was AMAZING. Service was excellent. Very high energy. Positive vibes. They just finished renovating and it really looks AMAZING. not to mention they did all of the art work and signs themselves. Was very impressed. And the amount of food you get!!!! Enough to fill you enough your about to pop and then your take home leftovers is still another whole meal in itself!!! All for a truly AMAZING price... Heavy D... You get Sh@# done!!! Anyone living in the Quesnel Caribou region... This place is a MUST try... Lebanese twist to their food makes this dine in experience one worth boasting about... Keep up the good work you guys.
Driving through on the way to Prince George from California. Parents wanted Dairy Queen but I saw Heavy D's along the way. Glad I chose Heavy D's. Got the spicy pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. It was excellent. Pork was tender and juicy. The huge ciabatta roll held up well sopping up all juices. The onion rings were good, I tried the tzatziki sauce with em, I liked it too. Folks in there were very kind. Great service and great food!
Amazing food, huge portions! Prices are moderate but not cheap - absolutely worth it once you see the portion sizes. Food is cooked to order and the chef is close - he often visists with customers and checks on how the food is received etc. He is very involved, either from behind the window in the kitchen making loud jokes as he puts food up, or out visiting his guests and checking on the food. Kids meal portions are large too, and the kitchen is considerate of getting kids food out as fast as possible. One of our family has Celiac disease and the chef worked with us to identify the best thing he could make for her that was completely gluten free. During our visit he brought out a free sampler of a new dish he is working on - pulled pork stuffed into a pastry and baked, it sort of looks like a chubby taco. One of the most unique restaurants in Quesnel.
Happened to be in Quesnel on business and had read reviews on this restaurant. Decided to stop in for lunch and it did not disappoint. I ordered the senior sized Pulled Pork smaller option portion and it was big and delicious! The buns are homemade and totally amazing. Service was steller and the gal was super nice. There are a few other items I look forward to trying next time I am in town. Below is 1/2 of my sandwich that I had to go.
