First off it wad freezing cold in there and it was not even a cold night out. Even the server sais she knew it was freezing in there, but could do nothing. The service was not good. Our server had checked out. Didn't check back until our meal was almost done and never asked if I wanted a refill. The meal was passable but considering Nick's is just a few meters away you would want to compete which this doesn't in tastes, presentation or portions. Very disappointed and will not be back.
My husband and I enjoyed lunch here today! I had the hot chicken sandwich and he had the bacon Patty melt. Both were delicious!
It took 10 minutes for a waitress to come to our table after being seated. It took another 15 minutes to get our drinks after ordering, which was a coffee and 2 glasses of water. It then took 35 minutes for my wife's meal and 37 minutes for my meal. My wife ordered a burger and there was no platter option so it cost 4.99 for fries and 2.49 for the gravey the burger was 6.99. I ordered the Clubhouse platter for around 15.00. When the meals came the fries were barely warm. We usually go next door to Nick's but thought we would try Headingley Grill this time, what a huge mistake and waste of money.
Pukka comfort food at The Headingly Grill. Place has been completely revamped. Friendly staff great service and oh boy, proper grub. Believe you me. Manitoba Burger. - I replaced the fries with a large coleslaw. Pukka grub I tell you..... "Certified Angus Beef patty topped with Bothwell Cheddar, handmade perogy, Winnipeg Old Country Bologna, fried onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, chipotle sauce on a cheese bun, with fries and coleslaw."
Excellent ! The staff here are very kind & work hard to be as efficient as possible, the food is delicious, reasonably priced & the restaurant is clean - with a very cool atmosphere. Every time I have been here it has been consistently good. Best Eggs Benedict skillets and really good coffee. A short drive from the city & a pleasant change from the chain restaurants where prices are just skyrocketing. Much better here.
Hedingley grill is one of the best diners in Winnipeg. It is in Hedingley near Assinibone Down but it is so worth the trip! Their whiskey burger is so juicy and the French fries are shoestring style and done the right way. They recently went through a renovation- the place looks modern and spacious. They have good selection of drinks too and most importantly very affordable.
I've never once been disappointed here. Super friendly service and the food quality and taste are fantastic. The burgers are by far one of the best I've had compared to dozens of many other so called top notch places to get a burger. Nic's Inn, next door, burger doesn't even come close to quality and taste to these. Had the Whiskey burger and the Manitoba burger. Both unique and both an explosion of flavor in each bite. Fries were fresh and super hot.
Great food - breakfasts are always good. Went for supper tonight - had strip loin steak special - tasty, and cooked to perfection! Server sorry didn’t catch name was very pleasant and attentive.
Staff clearly take the time to clean the restaurant and it shows. Couldn't find a single spec of dust. The building is littered with both sport memorabilia and pictures of historic Headingley. My experience for food and service is lackluster. I ordered the Hot Beef Platter with fries. When eating it, the fries were the generic fries you buy from the grocery store. The Hot Beef was very bland. Gravy had no taste and the beef was moist, but had no seasoning or taste. The waiter I had wasn't rude, but she acted as if she couldn't be bothered with me. She ignored me when I asked for something, and when the waiter asked the standard "how is your food" she asked it while walking by and didn't stop to listen to my answer. After this experience, I will not be making any follow-up visits.
First time visiting.Greeted by pleasant staff. Served coffee right away. Food came quick which was still hot if the grill. Overall, very satisfied with our experience. Oh and this place is super clean
