Head To Tail Grooming

I love bringing my fur baby here. I just moved to the area and when i say this place provides the best service. I was looking for a groomer that my dog wouldn’t be locked up and that would be enjoyable for my pup! This place takes the crown. Everyone is nice and my dog seems to be so happy everytime she leaves! Bring your fur babies here you won’t be disappointed.

As a new client, I can not rave enough about the outstanding service from beginning to end. Ms. Zoey came out strutting with a smile. She looks amazing, fur soft as cotton, white areas super white, nails actually manicured down, and she smells AMAZING! We have finally found a new home :-. Dana and front counter staff are professional and welcoming. Love the electronic payment processes as well. And the decor is colorful and chic. Looking forward to my return.

Always so friendly! I'm never worried about leaving my dog here. They take good care of my schnauzer and always make him come out looking fresh and so cute! The little bandana or bowtie they give him is always themed for the season which is such an adorable touch. Shout-out to Bernard who has been taking care of us for a long time! Highly recommend his service, attention to detail, and expertise.

I hate to give poor reviews but this place was an INTERESTING experience for me. I am military and I’ve traveled many places. My 8 yr old small 8lb dog has traveled with us as well. This places approach by far was very odd for me in the way they receive you. When I called to schedule the appointment the person was super nice but it’s weird that they don’t discuss or mention cost or give you options for service. Well fast forward to the appointment. I asked about cost and I was told it’s based on size and temperament of the dog. The first I understand but the latter I don’t do much.. my dog was wasn’t awful, he could have probably went longer but because I like keeping him clean I went ahead and took him. Low and behold, I spent $150 for an 8lb dog that needed minimal grooming. He basically got a bath and his teeth brushed. He did not look much different than he did when I took him in. He was just blown out.. They’re nice but beware… they totally blindside you with their sliding scale prices. I’m go back to the market and find somewhere that’s much more reasonable and upfront with pricing. I can more than afford it but I will not tolerate hidden agenda. The business model in pricing doesn’t work for me. I felt completely taken advantage of. I’ll continue in my journey to find a groomer.

Exceptional service from my initial inquiry phone call to the moment my fur baby walked out of the door with his beautiful haircut! My 8 year old dog hates getting groomed. We resorted to vet-based sedated groomings. We’ve been slowly working in clippers at home over the past year. This was our first attempt at a normal grooming. I spoke with Jody at the front desk. She was so thorough. Instead of immediately saying no or yes for that matter. She offered to have him come in, meet the groomer and let us all decide together if we could give it a shot. Our groomer Sarah was amazing. She was gentle, caring and clearly VERY experienced. He ended up getting groomed and was perfectly behaved. He looked adorable after. Customer service can be a lost art these day but these folks could write the book in it! Overall great experience and would highly recommend!!! 10 outta 10 ‍

I recently switched from Head to Tail to a different option due to the high price point of the services offered. My dog looked fine after visiting Head to Tail but often, services were incomplete e.g. pin knots left behind ears. I now am incredibly grateful I have taken her out of Head to Tail as I have discovered she is horrified of any grooming instrument. I’ve gone to multiple new groomers and each have said she will not let them touch her with something as basic as clippers. This was not an issue before Head to Tail and since her handful of experiences at Head to Tail, my dog has immense difficulties with grooming. Do as you wish, but I wouldn’t recommend this groomer to anyone in the NOVA area.

Came here with my slightly matted dog and didn't get lectured. The groomer worked her magic and I was surprised that she could save the fur and made a happy pupper. The front desk was very helpful and made for an easy visit. Will return!!

It took 2 tries, but in the end he came out alright. For $140, I didn't feel like it was worth it, so won't be returning. However, good customer service on addressing issues and dissatisfaction. The first 10 or so pics are our first visit, the rest are after our return and he corrections were made. Thank you to the owner and the lady at the front desk.
