Although I had not intention of, I just bought a bike here. The service was excellent. I did not feel pressured to purchase and got one on one service that is only possible from a small town bike shop like this. I also had repairs done on an old bike. The pricing was excellent. The bike was ordered in and arrived on time and as described. The owner has a love of Qualicum, its programs and trails. He is knowledgeable and helpful. I found both him and his wife to be warm and welcoming. He also helped repair my kids bikes. He is also an inventor, take a few moments, slow down to the Qualicum pace and ask him about the novel product he has designed for road bikes. You never know who you are going to meet and what their story is. Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing you on the road or on the trails.

My father, a 65 year old semi-retired local to Qualicum was personally attacked and insulted today by the staff at this bike shop. He stopped by the shop this evening August 26, 2016 to ask a simple question. He is interested in buying a bike and didn't know about what size, type, or style to get. The middle aged sales woman told my father in a completely condescending and confrontational manner, "I have no time to talk to you about buying a cheap bike from a friend. I'M in the business of selling bikes!" My father a semi-retired human resources professional has never experienced this level of disrespect and humiliation in his entire life. I am embarrassed to call Head Over Wheels Cycle & Sport a local business. Neither I nor my family or friends (which are extensive) will ever shop here. If you need a bike or repairs LOOK ELSEWHERE.
