I’ve been a patient here for 5 or so years. This morning, this office cancelled my appointment with less than one hour notice. It wasn’t because they were short staffed, because it snowed this morning, or another understandable reason. Yesterday, they left me voicemails at noon and 5 p.m. calling to confirm my 9 a.m. appointment. I left them a voicemail back at 6:30 p.m. after finishing work. After the 5 p.m. voicemail, they gave my appointment away due to a new internal policy they’ve instituted to try to cut down on openings from no-shows at the 9 a.m. appointment slot. This was relayed to me this morning after 8, after I’ve already taken a half a day off of work and am driving to my “appointment” set up six months ago. If this business has an issue with losing revenue to no-shows, that shouldn’t be Mt problem. I’ve invested both time and money into keeping this appointment, and I would hope in the future it does the same for its customers myself excluded. I don’t have a history of no-shows. I haven’t cancelled or even modified an appointment at this office in five years. Also, if you want to get a hold of somebody in today’s day and age, send a text. I get 10 robocalls a day, and some of them leave voicemails. The dentist and dental hygienists themselves are…fine. Hence the two stars.
I have been a patient of Dr. Duffy's for over 15 years. He offers a high degree of excellence. He listens to me, considers my concerns and answers my questions honestly. The hygienists are first rate! I highly recommend Dr. Duffy.
Great staff and service! I had an unfortunate accident where I knocked my 3 front teeth out a little over a month ago. Dr. Duffy was able to get me in early the next day where I was fitted with temporary teeth while we waited for my veneers to come in. I had my permanent teeth placed the other day and they look amazing, even better then they did before I knocked them out. If you are someone considering getting veneers or just overall looking for an amazing dentist, this is your place!
From the minute you walk in the door until you leave Hayward Family Dentistry, you feel like family... welcomed with smiles, treated with kindness and professionalism. Tammy and Shelley are warm and welcoming at the reception desk and seem to truly want to help you have a good experience. The bathroom is sparkling clean and outfitted with all the latest germ-killing products. The waiting room is very calming... you can tell special attention was paid to soothing colors and acoustics. You get to see the same hygienist every time who, after a wonderful cleaning and polishing, can make your next appointment with her before you even get out of the exam chair. Teresa is the hygienist I see and, besides the great care I get from her, she is always smiling, personable and engaging. The window in Teresa's room looks out into a peaceful forest of beautiful pines. Dr. Duffy is the dentist... intelligent, witty, laid-back, efficient and professional. He doesn't do any needless procedures, but if you're having a problem, he attends to it immediately with speed and accuracy. More often than not, he bids you goodbye with some type of personalized humor that leaves you smiling and feeling cared about as you leave. I'm 62 and have seen a lot of dentists in my time. Not only is he the best dentist I have experienced, his team of receptionists and hygienists are also the best. It makes me actually look forward to going to the dentist.... which is a new experience for me.
I am a hygienist here with Dr. Duffy and have been working alongside with him for 17 years! I truly love what I do, and the amazing team I work with! We are like a family! Dr. Duffy is who my family and I come to for all dental care, and I have relatives in the dental profession! We have fun, work hard and take really good care of our patients! A lot of them have become like family over the years! I recommend coming to visit us for your dental needs
My family and I have been going to Dr. Duffy for years. He and his staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They go the extra mile to provide incredible patient care. He has done crowns and veneers on both my son and I and he is a perfectionist. I am always getting compliments on my teeth!

Our family has been going to Dr. Duffy since we moved to Hayward almost 30 years ago! Dr. Duffy and his staff are always friendly and concerned about making you comfortable for your checkup or procedure and also concerned about any problems you may be having with your teeth/mouth. Our kids started going to Dr. Duffy when they were just toddlers and actually enjoyed going to the dentist! We have been very satisfied and would highly recommend Patrick Duffy DDS and Hayward Family Dentistry.
I always feel cared for and given the highest level of dental care at Dr. Duffy's office! The staff & hygienists are also so friendly and excellent at what they do! Very thankful whenever I leave their office!
Many years ago, I had the misfortune of breaking one of my top front teeth. I had the tooth capped by another dentist, and I was left extremely unhappy with my teeth and embarrassed of my smile for years. Going to see Dr. Duffy was such a great choice! He was able to make me a new, temporary tooth right in the office, which looked much better than the previous cap. Now that I have my new, permanent cap, I cannot tell you how happy I am. Both of my front teeth match, which is no easy task. You cant see any difference between the two. He took his time, made me feel comfortable, and made sure I was satisfied with the results. He said he will eventually be making permanent teeth in his own office, which will be great for our area! I highly recommend Dr. Duffy to anyone in search of a great dentist!
