Very good option for food in Ithaca, one of the best restaurants in town. We enjoyed our special combo for two and thought the portion was plenty of food we couldn’t finish it.
Visited this restaurant a year ago; haven’t stopped talking about it with friends. Can’t wait to go back. I would highly recommenced Hawi for a small or large group!
My favorite restaurant in all of Ithaca, and Ithaca has tons of great restaurants. I always get the meat or vegetable combo, which allows you to try a wide variety of dishes. It is super reasonably priced, and I always have leftovers to take home. Would recommend to everyone.
Absolutely delicious food. Large portions, and affordable. Gluten-free injera is available and beautifully made -- it's 100% teff. Friendly people. My new favorite place!
Very, very good Ethiopian food! I’ve eaten at every Ethiopian restaurant in NYC, as well as many others across the country. This one holds up to the best of them! Very reasonable prices too, for the portion size. The combo sampler plates are enormous, neither my husband or I could finish ours. What a gem in downtown Ithaca!
I've eaten at several ethiopian places across the country, unfortunately, this place is not one of the best. The veggie sides were decent. My lamb though was so dry half of the dish was just tough to chew.
My partner and I adore Hawi! We've always received amazing service, and the food is absolutely delicious whether enjoyed in person pre-pandemic or at home. I even ordered Hawi for my birthday dinner! Hawi is one of our favorite restaurants in Ithaca.
