Kind of a magical place. Beautiful village and culture with residents who are wonderfully welcoming. Most enjoyable visit to yarn shop ever!! Purchased lovely local yarns and beautiful new wool hat with sheep for my niece’s 2 year old daughter. Yes I too day dream of living there, where the town is like family.
Such a lovely shop, full to the brim with wonderful yarns from all over the world. The owner, Heather, and her team of very helpful ladies are so attentive, experienced and knowledgeable. They are very welcoming and are always available, either in person or on the phone/email, to help you out if you are having difficulty with your knitting, crocheting, or just general ‘crafty’ issues. I love visiting the shop for the vast choice of patterns, yarns, excellent classes, or just to sit, knit and chat to my ‘knitting friends’ over the weekend. It’s definitely worth the drive from Musquodoboit Harbour!
Wonderful selection of yarns for every budget. Beautiful hand-dyed yarn from local dyers as well as other Canadian dyers. And the sock yarn, oh the sock yarn! There's an entire wall of it and then there's more! The cherry on the top is the friendly & knowledgeable staff.
I like this yarn store - they stock a variety of classic needs and local treasures. Lots of notions and small needs as well. I'm here at least twice a year and I wouldn't head near this part of the province without stopping in.

Great little yarn shop very friendly staff and service. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of yarn as well as the fibre. When I am in Ottowa I love to visit this shop.
Wonderful stock, helpful and very knowledgeable staff...a very dangerous place to enter as it's impossible to get out without adding a lot more to my yarn stash!
