This is a great little hidden gem. I work close by and myself and co workers are regular's here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hot food section has some great options from simple fries to ethnic choices. Great addition to the area.
Really liked this store for years but I miss the guys who used to run the place. The new owner is grumpy and got mad at me for moving a sticker on a 3$ bar of soap to read the labeling and to see the front image. They acted like I was stealing and accused me of opening the box then kept insisting I was being sneaky and playing stupid, repetively referring to them having cameras. Strange behaviour and I ended up not buying anything because of poor customer service when I usually spend 20 or more each visit. I don't feel like returning but the store itself has good selection
Just moved to Kitchener and found this hidden gem. The store has a excellent butcher shop that ground chicken for me and it was excellent. Thanks for such a excellent shopping experience
5/5 for customer service. food: value of money 5/5 quality 3/5 quantity 4/5 got samosa on the house and also large blueberry slurp on medium price. ordered special combo. kebab contains tiny plastic wrapper inside. kebab meat is not recommended. others all good and tasty. no proper seating. its take out n go. UPDATE: Dont try their kebab, me and my friend found plastic in it .. UPDATE2: I recommend two items: tandori chicken wrap and Beef poutine. 5/5
Omg I saw critters running across the ground near the front counter where you get the food, I wasn’t buying just going around the tight space to get to the water bottles, it was definitely a large cockroach which isn’t surprising with the foundation being sooooooo old and always having food in it cannot be good especially when you don’t clean properly. Such a scary location every time I walk in or by it. Even in daytime I’d be hesitant here. Only good thing I can say is the water is cheap lol
Very nice place to shop middle eastern goods especially Afghan and Iranian
I was told that if you walk away from your car for even a minute, even if you are a customer, there are people watching out the window waiting to give you a ticket. Don’t risk it, shop somewhere else. The man who issues the ticket reports to no one but himself, is afillated with the store, works for a parking company that he has created, and cannot be held accountable by the city. Do not shop here, he’s looking to hand tickets out like they’re candy, even if they’re unwarranted and contested reasonably.
This place is a hidden gem. The owners are all so nice. They cook fresh Afghan naan bread, they have the best halal meat in town, and they have all types of middle eastern groceries. These people are not here to cheat you like other places. These people are extremely honest and I will be supporting them.
I've been coming here for about 7 years now, and I absolutely love this place. The food here is INCREDIBLE, some of the best in the city. I've brought so many friends here over the years and they've all been amazed at how delicious the dishes here are. It's also super affordable and filling. Last but not least, the staff here are amazing, especially the guys who are around in the afternoon and evening. They're some of the friendliest and hardest-working folks I've met, and walking into Hasty Market and being greeted by everyone is like arriving at a friend's house. So grateful for this hub of amazing food and community!
One of the worst store i have ever seen in Kitchener - Waterloo, The owner itself don't know to respect the customer. Though they have multiple range of product, but its of no use if you have such unprofessional behavior. I will never ever recommend anyone to visit this store, instead to go to other Asians and Arabians store in the locality. Learn to respect the customer first.
