The Lady was so kind, attentive and accommodating. Prices more than reasonable. Beautiful room that had air conditioning and ensuite.nBreakfast was a 5 star homemade omelets, apple slices with syrup and walnuts, FRESHLY SQUEEZED orange juice, homefries , toast and home made jam Not only was the experience absolutely amazing the lady running it was the sweetest with quite a sense of humor. Hastings house bed and breakfast is definitely a hidden diamond a gem of a lady and a gem of a place
We have stayed at this B&B before and looked forward to staying again. Elise is just the best innkeeper and her breakfasts are really good. The room was as we expected - however there was NO Air conditioning and it was unseasonably hot when we stayed 5/21/2024. Elise apologized and gave us a fan that moved around the warm air. Management is to blame for this. They put Elise in a difficult situation and that's regrettable. I'd make certain that the air conditioning is working before booking and would not stay if it weren't.
I was working about 20mins from Hastings and decided to try a BnB instead of a motel/hotel. After a long day at work, Hastings House provided all I needed. Wifi, comfy bed, and a hot shower.nnThe only knock, and mostly because I'm used to hotels, is no microwave/coffee maker/ fridge in my room.
Warm & welcoming, this accommodation was exactly what we needed after a long day cycling.nBut the 'piece de resistance ' in the accommodation is the hostess, herself: Elise. Her hospitality was bar none and her attention to breakfast was a 5- star experience.nHer meal, kindness & thoughtfulness gave us enough energy to cycle on, that day!nnThanks so much, Elise
Thank you Elise for being a kind and gracious host. You immediately made us feel welcome to your charming and well appointed cottage. Our room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the delicious home cooked breakfast and would highly recommend your b and b for anyone looking for a quiet getaway!
