ALWAYS come through in a clutch!! Anytime we forget a corsage for a daddy daughter dance, I've literally given them a 2hr notice w/ colors over the phone & walked in to the most perfectly intricate corsage I could've asked for!! 🌺 I've also stopped by for my hair dresser who needed funeral plants & they've done those on the spot as well!! These folks are FANTASTIC!! Did i mention their greenhouse??

Ordered something through the phone for a surprise for my wife. They called my wife for directions ruining surprise and also did not give the same flowers as in the photo provided. So I went in to the store and asked about it and was told that they try to get it as close as they can. They gave all white flowers when there is supposed to be a mix of blue and white. They remade it for me and still does not look like the picture. Flowers smell good though so there's a plus..

Hastay's is a fixture of the Eaton Rapids community. It's the perfect place to load up on veggie starters, fruit bushes, flowers, succulents, and lots of other green stuff. The greenhouse is a marvel and is fun to walk around, even if you don't end up buying anything (though it is hard to resist the temptation). You can get fair-priced hanging baskets and pre-potted flower baskets and pots, and (new this year) you can pick out your own flowers and pot and have the Hastay's crew pot it up for you! You can also bring your own pots to have filled.
From now (around Mother's Day) through the beginning of July, the greenhouse will be buzzing as gardners and flower enthusiasts of all sorts swoop in and grab what they need to get their veggie patch and flower beds going. May and early June is the best time to get hanging baskets (before they get picked over). Geranium trees go quick, so if you're just dying for one, try to get there before the end of June. Mums appear in late August. If you want to avoid crowds, come early in the morning.
If you're new to gardening, don't be shy about asking for help-- most of the people who work here know a trick or two about pest control, colour schemes, planting seasons, etc. The two most knowledgeable people (as you might imagine) are the owners, Roger and Barb-- but they are also the two busiest people in the place, so good luck cornering one of them!
If you need potting soil, compost, trowels, plant food, or other essentials, Hastay's has them fairly-priced and ready at hand. By late May/early June, there is also a solid selection of pots of all sizes, shapes, and colours.
And of course, Hastay's is also a floral and gift shop! Gardeners will find themselves competing for attention at the register with people buying arrangements for all occasions (prom, weddings, funerals, Mother's Day, etc.)-- be sure to have patience if you're shopping on a holiday or a Saturday. If you need an arrangement short-notice, you can come in a see what's ready to go in the cooler. Or if you're lucky, the very talented flower arrangers might be able to whip something up for you on the spot. Otherwise, if you're thinking ahead, order online for pickup or delivery (their delivery fees are relatively low compared to other places) or call in an order.
Definitely give this greenhouse a try-- and if you have plant-related allergies (like me), pop a benadryl before you head in. ;)

Rude Rude Rude I have always lived in Small towns...I have always experienced small town charm when ordering & visiting flower shops. I will never go back to this business again! Customer Service is the worst I have ever experienced! Arguing with the customer that Ferrari red isn't really a red...
