Found this place serendipitously on a short bike ride, shortly after moving to the Saanich/Victoria area. One finds a place like this and thinks, “Great, so cute and inconvenient. Why not stop for a bite.” Okay—I have to tell you the food and drink at Harvest is truly exceptional. It’s a limited menu it would be impractical otherwise. But the offerings are just so good, and I have to add that the French fries are legitimate contenders for the best I’ve ever had, including in-country Belgian fries and Atlantic Canada fries in Prince Edward Island with purportedly the best potatoes in the world. I don’t know what they do here, but fry aficionados should run not walk. Also: highly competent staff, pleasant vibe, view, and bonus, bunnies hopping around everyplace.”
Had lunch there today, very friendly staff. The sausage and sauerkraut is amazing. Highly recommend !!! Can't wait till my next visit.
Real good food. Literally fresh from the earth and straight to the table, with a couple steps in between, of course. Real good people. They'll treat you like their own. Harvest Rd - farm to table. The person behind the counter most likely picked the produce from the earth, or; lives beside the person who does, or; is part of the family, part of the whole. Harvest Rd is connected to Michells, ... integrity, pure goodness and fairness. Solid. I have to say I love this whole family as my own. Go check this place and people and food out for yourself. I'm telling you, I'm not alone in how I feel. I love Michell's. I love Harvest Rd - Farm to table.
We had terrific fries with a burger and a smoked chicken sandwich. The food was great, fresh and the order came up fast.
Solid fast food in the trailer behind Mitchell farm. I stopped in for a burger today. Meats are all hormone free, produce is local. The burger was solid but I'd say the handout fries were the sleeper hit of the meal. they'd make a killer poutine
Food isn't too bad but quite expensive for a food truck like vendor. A small cup of kombucha costs 5.60, a beef burger for $12.95 with no fries. A convenient spot to rest for cyclists.
Great food, great people! We stopped by to dine in on our way to Victoria from the terminal, lots of outdoor seatings with umbrellas. Kids had the kid’s meal and can’t stop raving about the fries, and the spicy mayo! Double smoked bacon breakfast sandwich is awesome! All ingredients are fresh! Too bad that we didn’t try the apple juice, for sure will give that a try next time!
I had the Breakfast Sandwich with sausage. All very fresh and perfect bun. Coffee is hot but could use some tweaking but not bitter.
Excellent farm-to-food-stand experience! The menu is not extensive but both the Harvest Burger and the sausage are delicious. The orchard fresh apple juice is expensive $4 but very tasty. The fries are real potatoes, hand cut and fresh fried. You will not go wrong with any of the food selections. The only negative is the bathroom facilities. They have a portapotty which is fair, it is a converted shipping container after all, but the last two times I've been there the toilet has been literally overflowing. It was obviously serviced between visits and this is probably just a byproduct of their popularity, but my advice is to not count on being able to use the bathroom facilities there.
Was great. Not the cheapest place but great and fresh food.
