Family run restaurant. Bakery on site. Food tasty. Portions generous. First Friday of month pig roast something to behold. Service quick. Easy on the wallet.

Love this place!!! It’s a Chicago western burbs tradition. Harner’s starts making their special Bark and Turtles around Thanksgiving until New Years before they disappear. They are so yummy we even have requests from friends in Phoenix and family in INDY for these sinful treats. Everything is delicious but be forewarned: Their famous Turtles go fast so call ahead or place a special order so you won’t show up empty handed. They also have a nice selection of cookies and miscellaneous chocolates. Customer service and prices are great. I can’t comment on the restaurant as I’ve never made it past the Bakery. Open your wallet as you will want to buy everything. Also, Be prepared to stand in line as they are always packed full of customers.

Sit down experience is awesome, the donuts are just mediocre here. The custard donut was thick and had a consistency of paste. Not a delicious cream as one would expect from CREAM (not paste) filled donut.
Apple fritters are great here. I'd recommend skipping the donuts and grabbing a dozen fritters. But hey, personal preference I suppose.

I had one of the best fried cod sandwiches here. Perfectly crispy batter, nice flaky fish, and with a toasted bun. Standard type family restaurant fare, but very well done and fresh. Be warned, though, it's an older crowd in my experience here, so if you're sensitive to anti-progressive jokes overheard from other tables, avoid.

When traveling we like to eat where the "locals" eat. We weren't disappointed. Good food, service and couldn't ask for more
