Best place in town to get your lawn mower or snow blower fixed. The older guy working in the repair shop knows everything and will bend over backwards to make you happy. Prices are not too bad either.
I really don't understand all the good reviews. Took lawnmower last Saturday to be served. Called this morning because I really need my mower back and need to cut the grass and guy on the phone said they haven't even worked on it yet. Awful service. Never coming back.
Oh my god….where do I start! Brought a toro snow shovel battery in for warranty replacement and had an awesome experience!. From the time I was greeted by the cashier……to the interaction with the service dept shame on me I didn’t catch his name. Makes me wish I would have bought the snow shovel from them. Anyone with a negative review of this place either needs their heads examined or just plain lives a miserable life. Good service is hard to find these days……..if I could give 100 stars I would …….just a GREAT experience
We have been going to hardware Hank since 1977 and have not been disappointed. We recently had an unusual situation with our snowblower. Allan took care it in a most professional and respectable manner. This is the way all businesses should place customer service in high regard. We highly recommend this business.
I was headed out of town this past Friday afternoon on a camping trip. I had an issue with my trailer. The ball was loose. I had to pull off and get it tightened. I swung into Hardware Hank and asked to buy a wrench but I needed to know what size. After I told the sales man the story, he just grabbed 2 wrenches and tightened the ball for me and I was on my way. Great service. Thank you.
Dont take anything to these clowns !!! I bought a saw from them & it stopped running & I took it back 3 times & still not fixed. They lied to my face about it needing a carburetor & it still will not run. They are hacks that do not know what they are doing.
Love this place for something random or to pick up something quick. Always some nice staff on hand to help me find something right away. Much quicker than going to a big store.
Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Do not shop here. The machine shop at Hardware Hank is horrible. Frank and Kevin scrapped our WORKING John Deere snow blower without our permission. When we called to come pick it up, they let me know they "couldn't find it" and to call back the next day. When we called to say we were on our way they let us know they had scrapped it. They tried to tell us that we gave them permission We had asked them to keep it, do not touch it. They did not offer a solution, did not apologize. They were able to get it back from the scrapper lucky them. They then called us to demand we pick it up less than 24 hours after getting is back, even though we had clearly noted what day we would be coming to get it on the original phone call; they again tried to say we told them something different. We ended up changing our schedule to get it; picked it up and saw they had taken all the gas from it; then had the audacity to claim "you dropped it off without gas" which we had a full tank of premium in it when we dropped it off. We haven't been able to test it yet to see if it still works, which we wanted to do at the pickup because I have a huge lack of trust with their services. They don't listen, they try to put words in your mouth, don't take responsibility and apparently don't know what customer service is. Avoid this store at all costs.
Good people to work with. More variety than places like Home Depot and Lowe's. The employees understand the products they sell and how they are used. If you really need to save 3 cents on a package of screws go to Home Depot. If you need to fix something right go to Hardware Hank. And, if you need to fix something you bought at Home Depot, definitely take it to Hardware Hank.
This is a great option for short hardware trips. The staff are knowledgeable about where stuff is and about how to do things, neither of which can be said about a certain big box store. I have found them to be helpful without being condescending. Aside from the benefits of good service and supporting local businesses, you can get in and out in a quarter of the time.
