Receptionist is very unfriendly and rude, you’d expect a friendly service but this is not what we got and the man in front of us was spoken to very rudely as well. Apart from this doctors are great.
Awful surgery. The reception staff are rude and unfriendly and if you try to make a complaint the doctors will also be rude and unfriendly. It’s the worst GP experience I’ve had in 40 years.
After registering over 3 weeks ago to come back to this medical centre where I had been b4 over 8 yrs ago, the staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful!! Today after seeing my doctor at previous medical centre I came to Shoreham harbour view & explained about difficulties ref seeing a nurse to change dressings as I work some distance away from practice. Sue on desk was Fantastic & a Credit to this practice, she said she would arrange this with another local group & phone me which she did!! 1st Class Service!! Thankyou Sue & team!!
Really terrible communication in my experience. You practically have to book holiday from work to dedicate days trying to get to a basic level of care in terms of an appointment. Also seem still to be outright against getting back to face to face appointments even with issues that clearly need more than photos and a phone explanation. It's quite emotionally draining being a patient at this practice
Been with these doctors yrs and they have been great up an till covid . They seem to hiding themselves while everything else is opened up . Waited 3 weeks for telephone consultation for my 5yr old . To get called at 3 clock .school time . No one called me back . No text to see what the problem was . Massive lack of care with this doctors . Was told can have flu jab but not covid booster when I've had last covid jab in April. Went for flu jab Saturday to find doctors all blocked off when nbooking this no one told me wouldn't be at the doctors . So never got it . Am now waiting for them to answer the phone 25 minutes waiting and still waiting lack of care massively with harbour view .
My experience has always been excellent. Today I had a telephone conversation with a GP and I felt listened to and cared for. The doctor was very experienced and professional. The nurses and healthcare assistants are brilliant too!
I have been trying to arrange a call back from my father's GP to discuss his medication after he has been experiencing severe side effects for TWO weeks. Each time I eventually get through after a wait time of 20-30 mins, I was told there was no available slots and to try again the following day. Which I did day after day. Finally after a particularly worrying episode I had to ring 111. An ambulance was deployed and my 90 year old father was taken to A & E alone. The fabulous doctor that took care of him ran a full set of tests and concluded that my father required a medication review which should be followed up by his GP as there was inconsistencies with the medication he was taking. He would email my father's GP to request a review. So repeat process - ring surgery to request a call back. This time I was told that there was no available appointments until the end of April. I explained the situation and was told that they are extremely busy, haven't I watched the news, there is a pandemic going on yes she actually said that and that she started at 8.30 and hadn't been able to go to the toilet until 11.30 yes she actually said that. I gave up talking to this patronising, unprofessional individual and bid her farewell! Still waiting on a call back from my father's GP..........
So unorganised there very happy to leave a 7 month old baby until last phoned them at 11am still no call by 6pm SHOCKING. It’s not the first this has happened either when I phone them to chase I just get to she’s on the list has to wait like everyone else
Still refusing face to face appointments even for the mentally vulnerable. Ring to make an appointment Monday morning to be told to ring back Friday morning if you want to speak to your usual doctor only for them to NOT ANSWER THE PHONE FOR HOURS AT A TIME! To find out you can't get an appointment!!! Absolute shambles. Don't blame covid, you have always been like this and I have had enough.
All the staff I've spoken to since moving to harbour view are efficient and compassionate. They've always tried there hardest to get situations resolved as quickly as possible, always managed to fit appointments for the same day! Best gp practice I've ever been with.
