Happy Mart Food Stores

So happy I discovered this Asian supermarket!! Great selection of Chinese and Korean groceries including vegetables and fresh meats. Fair prices, spacious and clean shop too. So glad I don't have to go all the way to China Town for groceries now especially during Covid!

Update Jan 2020: After a month of closure and refurbishment last December, this place is re-open with a new management, and my goodness what an improvement this has been. In my last review I gave 1 star, now it's nearly back to the former glory this pan-Asian grocery store used to command. The shelves are 90% stocked, freezers are full incl. Korean fishcakes! thank you and the range of sauces/instant noodles/fresh vegetables are good enough to stock the base pantry with. Here's to hoping greed and laziness of the previous owners that choked the life out of this Queensway institution will be no more.

I ordered a length of three coloured ribbon which arrived 3 days afterwards, one day before their estimated date. Delighted with the standard of the product and the way in which it was delivered in its secure packaging.

Quite a range of my favourite foods that are worthwhile cycling 2x7km for. However it seems there are more and more occasions when some shelves remain empty and the bean curd sheets are gradually running out. And today after having cycled another 7km I was only to see the whole thing "closed for refurbishment" with full disappointment, and WITHOUT any prior warnings / status updates on Google Maps at all. Anyway, I would still use it again should it reopen. Looking for an improved service quality.

Frozen food is horrible.... if you check out their fridge the frozen food especially meat usually don’t have any date of expiration,even there is one I suspect it is fake.... I had food poisoning several times from their frozen food... it felt like the food was kept in the fridge for 10 years and they couldn’t bother to do a cleanup... the fridge also looked messy. Rest are fine.

Go to local Asian supermarket with good range and quality. Not cheap but hey it's central London. Stocks products from across east Asia - inc Malaysia

this market is rather small but has a complete asian food / ingredients. the layout was very easy to search food but was very narrow and so packed when there were many people

This place has undergone a slight renovation which is nice to see. It’s the closest oriental supermarket around the area. There are two parking apparently that you could use but they dont promote this. Price, quality and a range of produce is satisfactory. It would be good if they collaborated with the local car parking if you spend over a certain value, similar to Baywaters Waitrose - to encourage more foot fall

Seems to be under new management and stocks a lot more than it used to. There are still a few staples that aren't there which is why I've rated 4 stars. Great frozen dumpling section though!

Nice local supermarket for Chinese, Japanese and Korean foods and ingredients. Aisles are a bit too narrow.
