As the founder of a local chess club in Etobicoke, I reached out to Happy Kingdom Indoor Playground to ask if they would consider supporting our youth tournaments with a few prizes. Without hesitation, they said yes - and generously donated Day Passes and Play Cards for our young players.nnI was truly touched by their willingness to support a community initiative like ours. It means a lot when local businesses are open to helping children beyond their own walls.nnHappy Kingdom is a bright, modern, and very clean indoor playground with beautiful LED-lit slides, a large ball pit, and plenty of interactive play structures. It’s the kind of place kids get excited about the moment they walk in.nnOur tournament winners were absolutely thrilled to receive these passes. It made the prizes feel special and memorable.nThank you, Happy Kingdom, for your kindness and community spirit. It really makes a difference.nnAnna
Happy Kingdom Playground Sheppard Avenue East, ScarboroughnnVery disappointing experience. I would not recommend Happy Kingdom Playground on Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough.nnThey charge $23 per child, plus tax, and even adults who are only staying to watch the children still have to pay an admission fee. At least one accompanying adult should be allowed to enter for free.nnOn top of that, if you don’t have socks, they charge $4 plus tax for a pair. The arcade games are not included in the admission price—you have to pay extra for those as well. All these extra charges add up quickly.nnOur total came to about $40 plus tax, and it simply wasn’t worth the price. We have been to the indoor playground at Parkway Mall, where the cost is less than $10, and the kids have just as much fun.nnThe birthday party packages are also very expensive, starting at $399 plus tax and going up to $800 plus tax. If you’re planning to spend that much on a birthday party, I would recommend Reptilia instead. In my opinion, it offers much better value and a more enjoyable experience.nnUnfortunately, we won’t be coming back, and I would not recommend this place.
Great spot. Kids love it. The colour scheme used to be primary solid colours, now its pastel and pink and I suppose its a matter of taste but not my cup of tea nor my son's. Nevertheless, kids love it and parents can socialize- kids are sweaty frrom running so get good exercise. Parties for birthdays are good- the playland is close very close to party rooms. Staff is really great- they are helpful and polite and patient. Definitely will return. Arcade for after and grocery store steps away- good spot. It's $35 for one parent and one child on a Saturday which is steep imo considering you will easily blow anotjer $20 in the arcade which your child will inevitably drag you to if they know it exists.
My experience at Happy Kingdom on a recent holiday Monday left me very concerned about child safety and staff attentiveness.nnA fellow parent and I were sitting in the parent waiting area while our 7-year-old daughters played. We noticed a young boy crying alone in the ball pit. When we checked on him, he told us he had lost his mother.nnWe immediately informed the front desk staff, but were surprised by the lack of urgency. No one appeared concerned or took immediate action. Since staff were not responding, we ended up calling the phone number listed on the child's wristband ourselves. The mother did not answer initially. Eventually, a staff member took the child to the back office, and thankfully his mother arrived about 15 minutes later.nnWhat was even more concerning was that shortly afterward we observed staff members involved in the situation scrolling on their personal phones while on duty. When we left about an hour later, all four front desk employees were again on their phones.nnA children's play facility should have clear protocols for handling lost children and staff should be actively supervising rather than distracted by personal devices. Fortunately, this situation ended safely, but the lack of urgency and professionalism we witnessed was alarming.nnI contacted the business directly about this concern and did not receive a response, which is why I am sharing it publicly. I hope management reviews its training and supervision procedures to ensure child safety remains the top priority.
We visited Happy Kingdom on Sunday, March 8 which is not a holiday, and we were charged a holiday fee for one of my two daughters. When we pointed out the mistake to the cashier, her response was simply, “It’s only a dollar.”nThe issue is not the extra dollar... the problem is being charged incorrectly and having it dismissed so casually. It gives the impression that customers are being overcharged deliberately.nVery disappointing experience, Happy Kingdom.
