Happy House Daycare

0 stars for this daycare is what it deserves. The owner couldn't organize a 4 year old tea party, never mind a business. Thank goodness for the staff which loved our girls and I feel horrible that they work for her. The owner tries to be intimidating to the parents who pay her bills. She is a money hungry disrespectful person who talks down to kids. Pay the extra little bit or wait for your kid to get in with the other daycare. Wish you all the best. Hopefully someone open a real daycare and put her out of business.

As a staff member of 5 plus years at Happy House and mother of 2 who have also attended Happy House Daycare. I enjoy working with every single one of the staff at Happy House and my both of my children created great bonds with the staff in their room. I was quite annoyed by a few of the negative comments that I read on the google reviews. And in response, I would like to try to defend the so called "useless" staff at Happy House. First off, it's grounds for termination if any employee is found "zombiestareing" at any personal electronic device in any of the rooms at Happy House Daycare, si if employees ARE found on a device in the room, it's because they are uploading pictures for the families to let them know about every individual child's day what they ate for breakfast, lunch and snack that day, what activities they did and how they napped or if they did nap 8-45 children depending on the age, so if you are in a room with12 plus children, you would want to take short opportunities to upload photos or info. Second, if any "fingerprints or handprints" were ever found on any child that was brought to the attention of the management at Happy House Daycare, I can tell you it would be taken very seriously and rectified as soon as humanly possible. Second, yes, children get sick at the daycare and yes, periodically there is an outbreak of the dreaded hand foot and mouth or other any of the other million easily transmissible diseases that can occur when people are together, but I can guarantee you that Happy House is not the only Daycare that is plagued by these same diseases. By the way, did you know that the staff at Happy House do laundry multiple times a day and try to clean and bleach our rooms daily? As for the comment about the filthy bathrooms, if you have a potty training boy at home who is just learning to go pee on the potty or in the toilet, then I'm sure you know the wonderful pee smell that comes when said little boy splashes his pee all over the toilet, cabinets and, yes even the floor. Now, times that smell by all the potty training and just a little-too-late-to-the potty children at a day care and you maybe you will be more equipped to understand where the smell comes from and, yes we do our best to clean it up but when you are "in ratio" you have a duty to get back to the other children in that room ASAP!. Thirdly, I apologize if I don't remember the first names of every single parent of every single child that I have ever worked with in my many years of working in daycare, do you remember my name? My partners name? Maybe, maybe not, but that's ok, I will still love your child as much as my own. Please don't call the employees at Happy House "useless" they are trying their very hardest and doing their best with what is at their disposal, despite being often times over worked and under appreciated by many. Keep up the good work staff at Happy House Daycare...

Would be zero. Don't expect the care to get any better as they age. Staff can be defensive about things they really don't understand unexplained open wound on hand vs "no it's eczema"... whether or not you were a dermatologist in the UK they WILL NOT properly watch the children and gossip/zombiestare their phones while all havoc is wreaking. Too many bruises that look like hand prints. When you bring any concern to "management" you will be facing even worse defensiveness and drama remarkably from one with no background in child psychology. Instead of apologising or even checking footage of their lazy teachers they will accuse you of being an overly loving parent! Zero professionalism... even worse human decency or regard towards your babies. Before child turned 19months this was a heavenly place full of trustworthy, godsent, caring ladies. Now it's one disappointment after another. The staff still don't know simple things like how to properly apply diapers, leaving bits exposed to soil clothing or forgetting and having them with frequent yeast infections. Giving the kids water on a hot day or getting to know parents names is taboo. No infirmary. No air conditioned room for heat illness. Too many safety and health incidents that should have been dealt with long before they were established. Taking kids outside in bad weather underdressed or overdressed. Bathrooms are disgusting and they will bring your child in there barefoot. Treatment after treatment for parasites. Very poor unprofessional leadership knowing when the parent is right still don't apologise and jump to defend their useless staff rather than learn what ACTUALLY happened, let alone give a flying pig about your child or how they were impacted. I don't even see their responses to bad reviews trying to make things right??? Uta awkward, fake and greedy. Doesn't keep track of your payments and will put you in her "bad books" for not properly paying attention and actually getting her facts straight before trying to steal your money she still owes me 90$. Will not explain where she gets her figures from, if you ask she will promptly send you a list of numbers rather than wth they represent. Will threaten to send you to creditors for paying weeks before her deadline, that's how organized she is... Remember we're the parents here and we don't *have to come here so get off your pedestal and be way more grateful and responsible for LIVES IN YOUR HANDS. Put my kids in dayhome now much better. Please bring back that sign in sheet, too many parents and teachers are bringing in their extremely revoltingly sick kids and spreading infections, at least this is some tracing and nobody can hide the facts. Or remind them that we should know better by now. What's the point of us all following the rules if you're just ignorant? Honestly not worth your money, sacrifice or the scars your children will be left haunted by that they will always lie about. Blessings to you and your beloved darlings, this place doesn't deserve you.

If I could give 0 stars I would. What an incredibly stressful and horrific experience it was to deal with the owner. So sad because the staff seemed wonderful. She is beyond unprofessional and so rude and confrontational. My daughter was only there two days before I had to make the decision to pull her out of there. Clearly I should have read the other horrible reviews of this place before sending my daughter there. It’s sad there isn’t any competition in town because I would imagine that’s the only reason they stay open.

We've been with happy house since 2015, I'm happy and so are my children! That is to Uta and the staff!

My family has been with Happy House on and off for the past 5 years and it's steadily going down hill. There are multiple issues with this place but below are my main concerns. TLDR: I do not recommend this facility for anyone's family. #1. The attitude of the staff, mostly management, do not have a supportive attitude to you and your family. They expect you to support them and it's been getting worse. Examples of this are no flexibility with drop offs between 10-2 pm. There have been multiple times where I have had to take a day off of work simply because my child had an appointment at 9 am and then I'm not able to drop them off until 2pm. Also Happy House takes advantage that most of their clients are military families and close completely when they know most military families have the day off. This is extremely difficult to deal with if you are not military and get paid by the hour as you have to either lose a day pay or pay for child care on top of the paying happy house for doing nothing. They also take about 3 weeks off at Christmas which again is unacceptably long since most families still need to work during that time. They are also taking PD days that align with the schools so that means parents must take another day off of work. The daycare should be open to support their paying customers and keep the customers working to the max extent possible. #2. The meals they provide my child is very poor nutritional value and that also seems to be getting worse. They do not follow the Canadian food guide or any standard which results in a haphazard selection of food for meals. I'm not sure who decides on the meal plan but Im positive they do not hold any qualifications or education to be making those decisions so the outcome is usually whatever is cheapest which ends up being simple carbs. This is a big deal since they control most of the food your children eat for potentially years on end. They should at least allow parents to supplement meals with their own snacks etc but that is not allowed. Better yet follow the Canadian food guide since that's exactly what it's there for.
