The hours of public washrooms are not long enough especially as it is the only one. Old Montreal area has numerous ones with generous hours. Aside from that they have good help booths nearby for activities. Ample benches as well!
Spend three hours green quiet area
Like all federal governmental institutions over the past eight years, this one is managed with the uttermost contempt for the tax paying citizens of the area. Events are programmed without any advance publication to allow residents to plan accordingly. Extremely loud music is played for hours on end till late into the night, robbing residents of their right to peace and quiet. If you should bother to ask for information regarding the schedule of events, you will not receive a reply. If you point out this is a public place and this should be public information, you will get no reply. In short, this is a public building paid for by tax dollars that is being used by Parks Canada to generate revenue without any thought for the well-being of the people being affected by these events.
Too crowded. Waited too long for the food.
So this area is right on the machine canal and there are various activities held through out the year.nThis summer they are hosting a Sudbest event. Basically various food venues with music and drink , next one is August 28 and 29th.nnThe atmosphere is very chill and laid back.
