We got a couple of different beef cuts and made a meat cake at home! We had them all grilled and it was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!
This place has been around for ages! As good as I remember. Great hotpot meats, specifically really enjoyed the beef belly and lamb rolls! Cheaper than supermarket and better quality : hope they stay this way! Other meats looked really fresh as well, I’ll definitely try their oxtail, pork belly next time! Curious about their marinated meats for kbbq too. Small but great little neighbour hood gem.
Good quality meats. Especially their thinly sliced meat for grilling/hotpot. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes there is a decent line up outside. The actual store is small so they can't fit that many people inside comfortably, so, the speed of the line up really depends on how long each customer takes. But, regardless, it's worth the wait.
Great place to get sliced meats for hot pot. There are other meats and cuts as well. This place allows one person in at a time. Parking is harder to find on the surface lot but the underground parking lot usually has a space or two.
Definitely one of the best butcher place in burnaby! Supreme quality at afford pricing! For example, beef tongue’s pricing is equivalent 70% off to what most Korean or Japanese restaurant would sell, and plus they are SUPER fresh! My destination Togo place whenever I’m hosting BBQ party!
Word of mouth really works. Got referred here from a friend who said you gotta check this place out specifically if you want to do hot pot or Korean BBQ at home. As other people have noted, lineups can get super crazy. There is a one customer/family limit in the store so that is where the bottle neck occurs. I went at 230 on a sunday and was 5th in line, took 10 minutes. But 5 minutes later, it was 15 families deep. Basically it's safe to say it's generally busy so be prepared to wait. Ordered two marinated meats and they are stored in these pre sealed containers. Korean BBQ ribs and tenderized pork. Both were super good and tender. Very satisfied. No bone shards like you might get once in awhile if you go T&T. Prices are reasonable and competitive with those major stores. The service was good. They were super nice as I had never been there before and explained where everything was. They also threw in some beef bones for free for spending a certain amount. My only beef pardon the pun with this places is that the complex can be pretty chaotic during any times and I can't imagine rush hour time being very fun. So parking can be a challenge. Would definitely come back and stock up for future hot pots.
4 juumon points ~ Good meat for a good price. Had quite a few great meals using there meat Thank you have a good one
Meat is priced competitively. There is a metallic shine on the red meat indicating that ammonia was used to preserve the meat quality. As we know ammonia is not good for the human body. Apart from that being a standard practice among some butchers. I would recommend the pork belly and thin sliced beef.
good quality for great price! Also got good social distance measures
Really good meat with a decent variety, but note it's not a typical western butcher. They cater mostly to Asian cuisine requirements so everything is pre-sliced for Korean BBQ or hot pot. You won't find steaks or roasts here. Prices are comparable to Superstore if not better, but definitely one worth it because of the higher quality of meat. Go early because the line ups cab be brutal. Some customers buy like $200+ and take 15 mins or more, and between limited occupancy and 1 till, you'll be there waiting for a while.
