Visited the Hamilton Convention Centre for the first time ever to attend a Convocation Ceremony. The location is good, you can't miss it, the facility and washrooms were quite good. You will definitely enjoy attending events here.nThe downside is the paid parking for attending a graduation ceremony. While there's enough space because it goes down to five levels, I'm not so impressed that we had to pay for that day. Planning your occasions here or attending will give you a good experience, just prepare to pay for parking. You should be here.
It's a beautiful venue, original mid century modern design. Designed by Hamilton-based architect Trevor Garwood-Jones, it's a gem. Let's hope the city never finds a ridiculous reason to tear it down which unfortunately wouldn't surprise me. Definitely recommend buying tickets to a show that interests you!
The I Heart Beer and Taco fest was an absolute blast in 2025. I was too busy dancing later in the night but the food was in abundance and relatively reasonable. Make sure you bring cash to buy additional tokens however there is an ATM onsite. The old school games were awesome and lots of systems to choose from. As someone who is gluten-free, there were many ciders that were gluten free and very fruitful. Wish it went just a bit longer but it's an amazing vibe and some good people. 5 out of 5
Easy to get to from Bay Street. Ample parking.. big facility. Very clean, venues at the several theatre rooms have great views and crisp sound.
Always a good experience and the space is vast for events. I like that it's not too hot and stuffy with large crowds. I opted to park in the covered parking at the Hamilton Convention Centre as the snow was going to come down in abundance and I'm so glad I did. Timing is everything so I arrived a bit earlier than the 2nd slot time of the event. Parking for 4 hours was just under $10 and it was worth it to avoid walking in the snow to get to my car then clean it.
