Halifax Independent School, established in 1972, and formerly known as Dalhousie University School, now has a student population of approximately 190 ranging in age from 4 to 15 years - pre-primary through grade nine.
Halifax Independent School is a diverse community of enthusiastic educators, students, and their families. We are a private day school for students in pre-school through grade 9. For 40 years we have been learning and loving it – achieving academic excellence at every level of education in a co-operative and respectful environment.
