Over the years have seen the local health care decreasing significantly in service and integrity. Started many years ago...my daughter had acute appendicitis ...was transfeŕed to Peterborough for surgery.....all went well BUT......we were directed to follow up with the surgeons office four weeks later....we did as directed....the surgeons office asked if we had been contacted by the family doctor since the surgery....no we hadnt....2 days later we get a call from the haliburton medical health team.....dr needed to see us asap.......well wouldnt you know ...the surgeon found a worm on the outer membrane of my daughters appendix and apparently it was pretty bad because we all had to take worm medicine....they couldnt tell us how the worm got there..... .so......service...call backs and followups have gone down hill fromthere and even worse since the LiHNS is involved.......tons and tons of staff but no one to address your inquiries....
