Ordered twice - Lunch Specials General Tao and Chilli Chicken good portions - comes with veg soup or pop and spring rolls. soup was good - really enjoyed it! could drink 2 of those! spring rolls - first time i got 1 the second time i got 2 - not sure why. they are very tiny - so two should be minimum General Tao - was good Chilli Chicken - was okay. i got noodles once - good but need a little more salt i think got rice the second time - was but mushy rice. didn’t go well with the chilli chicken other than that - price is good as well! need try few main dishes next
Very friendly service, soups were fantastic and portion sizes of everything was very generous. Reason for the 3 starts instead of 5 is due to the cashew chicken I ordered... it was definitely not chicken. The appearance, taste and texture was lamb, possibly goat which is odd as they only have chicken, beef and shrimp on their menu... could have been beef I suppose, but 100% this was not chicken large chunks of meat comprised of thick dark strands mostly attached to a thick rubbery band. I definitely ordered chicken and cashew chicken was written on the container. At least they were generous with the quantity and I do actually like lamb & goat! However the sauce was also not very nice.
We have never been disappointed by our take out from New Hakka Place. It is authentic Hakka food and very delicious. The portion sizes are massive, and the meat portion in sauced dishes is generous which is something that other places often lack. They don’t joke around with their spice if you request something spicy. If you are looking for American/ Canadian style Asian cuisine, not all menu items are going to fall into this category, as many dishes haven’t been Americanized which, in my opinion, is a good thing.
Outstanding food, great flavour and generous portions. Ordered it once to try, been ordering ever since....something different every time. Had family over recently and introduced them to this place, and now everyone loves it. You can't go wrong!
Amazing food! Such authentic flavours, great portion sizes and very flavourful! Only disappointing factor was their manchow soup - it was green color - that’s not how traditional manchow soup is :. Would order again from here, definitely!
I order from them all the time. I have noticed numbness in my body, heart palpitations, facial pressure and headache after eating. This is due to high amount of MSG in the food. Please be careful. It may taste good but it is making me sick.
Worst Worst food you can expect . We have ordered hot and sour vegetables soup from this place to be delivered to my sick uncle . When we called our uncle after a day to ask how was the soup ? He said it was just plain hot water with lots of salt in it . No vegetables or noodles in that . These shop owners should be ashamed from the quality of food .
Ordered directly from their website at 6:55pm on a Tuesday. I ordered manchurian chicken, house fried rice, chicken chowmein and crispy beef. Simple enough right? My husband showed up at 7:30 to pick up and they told him 30 mins! There was no one in the store and no orders up for delivery. Husband came back in at 8 and they just ignored him. He finally got the food at 8:15 and asked what the delay was we have kids who had to go to bed waiting for dinner, they offered no response except to ask if he wanted his receipt!!! 1.15 hrs for noodles, rice and chicken??? Absolutely ridiculous and the fact that they were not willing to rectify it is silly. The food was meh the crispy beef was OVER FRIED and the darkest thing i had ever seen. It was so hard, we couldnt chew it. The manchurian chicken was swimming in gravy we didnt ask for extra gravy. The noodles and rice were blah. We have lived in gtown for 20 years and this is the 1st and last time we'll order from here. Better off driving to mississauga for tasty real Hakka food.
Great flavor, so many options and huge portions that make for lots of leftovers and great service. We've ordered many times from here and never have been disappointed.
Great little Hakka restaurant in south Georgetown. We were welcomed with a smile, as soon as we sat, water and the menus were given . We ordered the crispy beef, pepper shrimps and Manchurian chicken dry; the dishes came with a large bowl of white rice. The shrimp was the best, tasty and really crispy; second was the chicken and the beef was good but not what we expected as we have tried other Hakka places, perhaps was their sour sauce... Above all, we liked this little place, we’ll be back and excited to try out other things in their menu. we were there on a Friday around 7 and all the tables were taken and a couple people waiting for their take out foods that’s a good sign
