We took an spontaneous chance to dine in as in close vicinity and the risk turned out to be fine. Basic seating layout and need based service attention experienced. The first order of veg manchurian soup won our heart and followed by another four Chinese dishes were to our satisfaction . The fortune cookie were icing on the cake. Enjoy your turn.
Visited Hakka Chilli with a friend and was pleasantly surprised with the variety on their menu. Quantities are fantastic for the price. Had the delicious chicken corn soup, spicy fish chilli, beef in garlic sauce with veg hakka noodles and the palatable fried Icecream. Looking forward to trying the rest of the dishes.Food: 4/5
Ate here for the first time with my family today and had a lovely time. The servers were friendly and accommodating to our tastes. The food came out relatively quick, was fresh and well portioned—so much so we had plenty to take home after our meal! I especially recommend the basil rice, Szechuan prawns, and the fried ice cream. Overall cute place for a good family lunch!
This is a tough one to write as you can see the hospitality is great. They do actually check on you and make u very comfortable. However the food was gross. I won't eat here again. I've eaten garlic chicken at a number of establishments never once has it been red. It tasted like seasoned pasta sauce. It was sweet not savoury. The rice was really long grain but had a very distinct texture. I'm wondering if this is the rice we see being made out of plastic as there was no smell and no flavour to it. I tried it by itself to see if I was wrong. The people are very kind there. But in regard to the food, I've had frozen dishes better than this. Will not return.
This restaurant never follows instructions on the order. I ordered spicy basil shrimp semi dry. The restaurant charged me extra for the semi dry option. What they delivered was shrimp floating in red gravy. I called the restaurant and brought it to their attention. The girl who answered the phone checked with the cook. This is what they said to me "Yes mam, the cook prepared the dish as semi gravy but the gravy increases when packed. Why don't you reduce the gravy to your liking yourself." Not once could they apologize, but just kept arguing with me. I told the girl I will be posting this on social media and she replied yes, go ahead. I am attaching a picture so that people can decide whether they served the dish as semi gravy or the gravy just multiplied within the container on its own. Learn customer service. I wasn't asking for a refund, but a sorry would help!!
Best Hakka Chinese in GTA. Our favourite menu and go-to menu after trying almost everything here. Wanton soup/manchow soup Chicken lollipop Tandoori fried rice Chicken Hunan sauce Very good dine-in service. Takes 45mins for pickup orders but worth all the wait time.
We had visited last Saturday and the food is very delicious and you get exactly the same street food taste of Mumbai chinese. I used to miss it in Canada; but now i found the perfect place. All the staff were pleasant and patient. Highly recommend it....
I have visited this restaurant a total of 7 times recently...we have tried several dishes but we come back for 2 dishes. Now the quality has deteriorated drastically. Not to mention, these guys never carry chilled beverages, neither do they carry any ice. On top of that, their tap water tastes weird. All this was acceptable and today a friend and myself reluctantly visited the restaurant as we had an appointment close by. The food was terrible and the spicy sauce we ordered had a ton of sugar in it. We both were in a bad mood, so decided to order their matka kulfi. When asked, the hostess said they make it in house, so we ordered it. Took the 1st bite and it was crystallized this only happens if it is kept in the freezer for ages and looses it's creaminess... 2 spoon in and I saw a weird dark colored mass in it. We were disgusted and called the hostess, she was also shocked and she took it back to the kitchen to let the chef have a look as she said it is made in house. Few minutes later she comes back and says the color changed as it is in a clay pot. I told her, would she eat from it and she said NO, so I asked her to remove the item from my bill. She goes back inside and comes back later telling us that the chef called jyoti said it's not our fault as we order it from outside! And we have to pay for it!!! 1st of all, why lie and mislead us in to believing that the kulfi was made in house! Secondly, what type of an excuse is it that it's not your fault as you have ordered it from outside??? If your fortune cookie has a cockroach inside, would you give your customers the same excuse??? Finally, for a 6 $ kulfi, was it worth loosing a customer and have this incident painted all over the internet??? Look at the images and tell me if you would eat this?????
Eating food here just reminded me of Bombay. Waooo and waooo is the only word I have to say while describing the taste of Manchurian rice, chicken lollypop and soup. Also, thanks to Geetika for good customer service.
We went to at another restaurant but since it was closing time , we tried our luck at hakka chilli. It is a great restaurant for Indian style chinese. Service was quick and the quantity was enough for two for the things we ordered.
