Good gastropub with a long beer list and a diverse menu. You can find something to eat and drink here. We stopped in on a Friday night. The place was hopping but the staff worked very hard to move people in and out with an efficient manner. We got a few items on the menu, shepherd's pie, steaks, and fish and chips. All came out at the same time with relatively in its own form, pie was hot, fish and fries were crispy and steak cooked to its specification medium rare. The IPA was fruity and flavorful, accompanied the food quite well. We even had a chance to talk with Tony. Did not look very hairy, and did not reveal why he got this moniker. Will stop in again when we pass by Cortland....
We had lunch here. My dad said it was the best chicken wrap he’d ever had. The Mac and cheese was pretty good and homemade. Plan to wait a while as they are cooking your food from scratch.
This establishment was just amazing!! They were able to seat 20 of us with only giving them a 2 hour notice. The food, also, was just amazing!!

First time here with a friend. Owner very attentive to all in house, friendly, sincere. Menu selections were just right, specials too! Our waitress was also friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.
Have been here multiple times. We have not had a bad experience. The atmosphere is great, comfortable and inviting. The food has is always amazing. To top it off, the staff terrific. They are attentive, but not intrusive. Wod highly recommend going hereFood: 5/5
Love the name, location and atmosphere, didn't like the food or service. We entered to a very nice host, and the server was nice but very inattentive. the person bringing the food out was good but refills and follow-up by our server was lackluster. French Onion Soup was excellent but the Riggies and Chicken Pot Pie were poor at best! If I go again maybe its beer and burgers at the bar. I hate to say don't go because it really is a nice hang out but buyer beware with the entrees.
This place was incredible. I’d post a photo of the food but honestly the pics don’t do it justice! Braised Short Rib!! 10/10! Our server was a sweetheart and truly made our experience that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much from a group of Canadians passing through town! Parking: Was lots of street parking
I found myself on Main Street in Cortland, NY. For complex reasons, though I live in Syracuse, NY, my doctor's office is in Cortland, NY. Well anyways, any time I have a doctor's appointment, which isn't all that often, it's usually later in the afternoon and I'm usually hungry for dinner when I done with the appointment and I don't want to drive back to Syracuse hungary. When I had young kids and they had doctor appointments we used to stop at the A&W down the road. But this time I had to mail letter off and the nearest post office was in the business district. The business district in Cortland is really nice with older buildings with all kinds of cool shops, restaurants and bars. So I saw this place and said "Great Food". so I stopped in. The food was good. The waitresses and owner were friendly. In fact I even joked around with him a owner. The menu was quite diverse for a place that seemed like a bar and grill. A little pricey but not too bad. I would like to eat here again. So, if you're hanging around touring New York going through some of the old towns like Cortland or maybe you're visiting your kids at SUNY Cortland, this is a good casual option for quick bite at not too bad of a price.
Not impressed. Selected restaurant from best places to eat in Cortland. Was traveling through the area. Chicken Riggis had blanched chicken breast chunks, completely flavorless. Sauce was weak and minimal. Wife had Bayou Shrimp Bowl, shrimp was cooked well, risotto was old and mushy. Pretty expensive $50 + tip including up charge for credit card for poor quality food. Won’t be back.
