Our first try at hot pot dining. We loved it. Staff were very good about walking us newbies through the process. Lots of options on the menu, including vegetarian and the sauce bar not sure if that's the right term was fun to add your own additional layer of flavors. Love that we got 4 different soup bases as it drastically changes the flavors of what you are cooking. We were going to the theatre afterwards and were thankful they offer full size aprons, because we needed them. Dinner takes a bit longer, so be sure to allot 1.5-2 hrs but it was fun and very social meal. We were a table of 2 but 4 would be ideal for social aspect, number of dishes and price per person. Price point was a bit higher than I expected, as they recommend 8-10 items for 2 people, but definitely worth it. Would highly recommend and suggest reservations as the restaurant was very busy. Kid-friendliness: I would say this would be fun for older kids, like teens maybe tweens if your kiddos are well behaved and follow instructions but I wouldn't want to go with my little. The hot pots are hot enough to cook your meats/veg/seafood and therefore burn. Also our table was filled with raw Meats and seafood for us to cook, that my little would have been grabbing and trying to eat.
Awesome experience! I was a little skeptical at first because hotpot is usually something I like to do at home, but really glad we tried this place out. The soup bases are really good recommend the tomato soup base which our group drank a lot of. Prices are pretty reasonable for the basic meat and seafood that you would want for hotpot. They also have a sauce station that you can pay $3.99 for to use as much as you want. Considering how good the tomato soup base is I think I might skip the sauces next time around. Also want to highlight that the service here is amazing. All of the staff were super friendly, very attentive, and also very cheerful. I would definitely come back here! Also check out their Instagram as there are some phrases you can say to the staff to get free things! Our group got free snack packs.
It was the first time I tried hot pot, and I'm so happy this is the perfect place to have them. Food is absolutely good and fresh of course. It was even fun to make my own sauce. Fruit for desserts are tasty. Appetizers, sauce and desserts bar is $3.99 per person They offer some snacks and tea for waiting and some mint candy and ice cream after the meal. But what I was really impressed with is, all staff including servers, helpers and cleaning staff are hard workers and trying to do their best with kindness. It was a busy and crowded place so I guess it's not easy to keep a good attitude. I really appreciate it. One fun fact is that they give a birthday celebration for customers. I felt like I was eating at a friend's birthday party. Everyone in there looked happy. I like it and I'm thinking my next birthday for it. But might be not everyone's preference. It is a little on the pricey side but it matches the quality and worth it. Thank you all for this great experience!
Great service and tasty food. The price is a bit too high, but I guess it’s still an acceptable price. When we ordered hand-pulled noodles, it was amazing how the staff pull it in front of you, but his noodle did touch my boyfriend’s face when he pulled it. Just hope he could practice more and make it more hygienic
Had only ever been in Shanghai. The Toronto location was delicious, service was top notch. Definitely pricier than other hot pot in the city. Be careful of the spicy soup bases they are SPICY! The sauce bar is great.Food: 5/5
You can’t go wrong with Haidilao if you’re craving hotpot on a cold day like us. Food here is fresh and their tomato soup base is a must try! It’s a bit on the pricy side but worth it overall. Also, the service here is great. Our server Belle was very friendly and attentive, and she was always super helpful when we needed something. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Top notch dining experience with this famous newly opened hot pot chain store in downtown. Amazingly fresh food in good variety and plenty choices of dipping sauce. Here were what we ordered on our night out.
Amazing place, would definitly go back and do 2 broths instead of 4 we first thought we should try it all. Would avoid spiciest broth - made my mouth feel another level of spice I have no experienced.. would get more meat next time and mushrooms cause the seafood options didn't seem worth it. Over all though great place and experiment as a group
We went last week for the second time for a special occasion and the service was just as amazing as the first time, everyone did above and beyond of what i would expect a normal high class restaurant would do. Especially our server Jane as well as Valerie at the door, both treated us with respect. Valerie even remembered to greet us out when we were leaving. Will definitely come again as the food was amazing as well.
Honestly, I already tried their restaurant back in Indonesia. Surprisingly the taste is much better in Toronto. All the spices are strong and combine perfectly. I really like the service but it would be perfect if there is nail station at the waiting room I like the broth
