Hagersville Secondary School

A wonderful school with great teachers, a small community where everybody knows each other, however has limited capacity, limited extracurriculars, and limited courses due to there being a small body of students.nnMy only complaint is that the english department needs work. Mr. Whitman is tough but an incredible teacher who will push you to do your best, kinda scary yet in a good way. Great department head with no complaints. Ms. Lewis is a great teacher with a wonderful personality yet her classes are loud and difficult to focus. Her classes can be heard down the hall by other classrooms and teachers. Ms. RK is great at teaching her content and grades fair to each of her students, excellent at teaching yet needs work on professionalism towards students. Unfortunately she does show favouritism and can be cruel to her “less favourable” students.

Weird ah kids. Think they’re tuff and are always violent. Staff don’t do anything about this and they show obvious favouritism over a certain group of students. Many people get jumped and the victim gets kicked out for fighting backMr.Avey is the best and only saving grace of the school!

They kicked me out because I was fighting back when i was getting jumped. and it wasnt even at the school or in the school hours. they know who did it. And they didn't anything to them. And sum kid was saying he was gunna beat me in class in front of teacher she didn't do ant thing. and when i tolled the principal he didnt do anything about the situation. and the old principal sa'd me ant no one did anying about that too it was 2 years ago. Id never let my kid go there ever. Because all they care about is how the school looks.

i attend hss and have since 9th grade, i will say this school is very unprofessional when it comes to the subject of students being bullied by other peers or even teachers, ive been harassed by one teacher in particular for 2 years now and it has gotten to the point of needed police involved because they will never listen to my cries for help, i’ve had multiple suspensions for situations that have never even happened, they will sit and tell my mum i refused to do something that they never told me to do in the first place making up a whole situation from scratch just to get something to put on my record and potentially kick me out of school again. i was removed from school after reporting my harassment to them instead of them dealing with the teacher they told me it’s my fault and it’s better for me to just not be attending school in the building anymore. i have multiple audio recordings and witness to almost all of my issues with this school i do not recommend going here or sending your children here.

I had a tour and it is purely good, all the teachers are nice and kind really nice High School
