What a terrible experience. My boyfriend and I had 3 straightforward income tax returns to file (him: 2010-2011 and me: just 2011). 3 different people handled our returns and it took 3 separate appointments to get everything completed. Altogether we were probably in their office for a total of 3-4 hours, which is completely ridiculous! They're supposed to take the headaches out of it for you! We basically had to do our taxes along with them, verbally. I may as well have filed them all myself. What a waste of time, and incredibly expensive. $125 for a standard tax return? I'm not comfortable having so many people involved in our returns. I don't feel like the employees are competent. Each time we arrived for our appointments we had to wait (between 20-45 minutes). Never mind the sketchy makeshift set-up they have- in the middle of the tool department of the Sears in Fairview mall! Even though the last lady we dealt with was competent and helpful, I would NOT recommend this H&R Block.
