H&R Block

I had a great experience, so I took my girlfriend there the next week. The sun was out so I took a walk and left her in there alone. The preparation took less than an hour but they charged my girlfriend three hundred and forty dollars of a four hundred and forty dollar return for the preparation fee! Last year my girlfriend had to be hospitalized and lost her job. Recently I pulled my back out and lost mine. Talk about a real kick in the you know what.. Next year we may attempt to file our own. This place is horrible. I wanted a refund and told them I would picking up my check and information the next day. I was told that was fine.My taxes couldn't be sent until next week anyway because of a delay to file for itemized returns. I went to get my check and the receptionist told me that the manager "Don" told her she had to deposit it anyway. Even though she told me there was no problem for me to come pick it up. He would send my a refund when he could. NO! Why would she tell me it was fine to come get my check and info and sent it in anyway! I spoke to Don and he said he would have a check the next day for me when I threaten to cancel my check. He had no choice he has to deposit ever check every night. They why didn't you tell me that so I could have come pick it up that day??? When I got there the next day he told me he was busy and didn't have time to write it. I would have to come back in a couple of hours! I told him to get a pen and write the check! He said it would take him a half hour and I would have to wait! This is not professional! He treated my like I wasn't important and how dare I bug him with this. If you tell someone you will have there check waiting that's what you do! They just gave me a run around. I wanted a refund because the "tax professional" didn't help me with my taxes. Couldn't answer my questions, and didn't make an effort to even look at my paper work. I had to suggest my deductions. All they did was enter number and I can do that at home. I wanted help with what counts for deductions and what I can claim. Don't go here!
