We were referred here by a co-worker and we are so glad that we discovered this place. Our dog was suffering from an extremely bloated abdominal area he had it is the past so we knew exactly what the condition was. We took him in for a consultation and were seen by Ms Sara M'seffar. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was kind, gentle, attentive, knowledgeable and most of all very fair! She listened to our requests, made suggestions, all the while respecting our choices, so this was VERY appreciated! The staff in general was very friendly, starting with the front desk, the veterinarian, the behind-the-scenes technician who prepared the medication. I highly recommend. We crossed a bridge and a tunnel to get to St-Lambert but was very worth it. Our pooch is already doing better Thank you Sara!!
I have been a very loyal customer for over thirty five years. Three cats, paying a fortune in medical bills, including medication, when Dre. Arsenault could have quickly diagnosed their medical issues, thus preventing many health issues and sudden death.
963$ for a one time visit because my cat was feeling bad, give a me a better for rip-off!
My husband and I have been going to this vet's since 1991. Yesterday, our 12 year old Boston Terrier had seizures and we brought him in as an emergency. The vet told me they couldn't look after him because they were closing at 4:30 pm. I was told it was a life and death situation which it was and to bring him immediately, right away, to the Veterinarian Hospital on Taschereau. My son in law was there without a shirt as the dog had seizures while we were in the pool and we rushed out the door. I had asked if we could quickly go home so that he can get a shirt and they responded, "No, GO IMMEDIATELY". So we bundled up the dog and started to run out of there. However, they stopped me in my tracks to tell me to pay the $86 consultation fee immediately. I couldn't believe their total lack of compassion. Like I've said, we've been with them since 1991. Always paid our bills immediately and I would say we've literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars there and yet they couldn't send me a bill? Sadly, my dog passed. I am never going to this vet again, ever!
We visited the hospital with my dog for the consultation about her condition and the doctor offered us to make a blood test, which costs more than 200 $. We agreed. Then we spent about 1.5 hours waiting for our dog because they tried to make the test. The dog screeched a lot, usually she was normal with tests. They pricked her legs, neck and she was there for 1.5 hour the dog is less then 4 pounds. During all the time they told us that everything was fine and that it was already done. I was so nervous and angry but I can't have done anything. Finally the doctor told us they can't do anything, they didn't make the tests. The dog and we were totally shocked with such unprofessional behavior. Finally we have no diagnoses,no blood tests and we had to pay for the visit. And after these actions the dog is totally destroyed, nervous, she hides, she doesn't want to play, to eat etc. You shouldn't work with animals if you don't know how to do this. Never again.
My cat had been to another vet and I was told he would need an operation. I was also flat out blamed for the issue and not seeing it sooner. The vet was rude and expensive. I brought him here instead and he was so well taken care of The vet really cared and said an operation would be the last resort but we fixed it with only medication and they were budget friendly estimated $450, only came to $250; three years later and he's still doing great.
Expensive. But maybe my budget doesn't match everyone else's in saint-lambert Edit: after several years with this vet and after a recent interaction, we will no longer use their services. We got an appointment for our cat. Almost 500$ later, they told us they didn't find anything and need to run more tests that would cost close to 1,000$!? I mean come on, this is awful. I am considering on filing a complaint with the Ordre des médecins vétérinaire QC. Its is abusive to charge this much money for absolutely with no solution.
By far the worst vet. There is another one on riverside that will actually put your pet first and not rip you off. Trust me you'll notice by how much happier your buddy is going there, there is blatant neglection in this vet and it's easy to notice quickly. This is after over 15 years of wasted money with them so I dont say this lightly.
