First time there with my wife. We loved the atmosphere and our bartender/server Trent. He made us feel comfortable right off the bat. We had tacos, hamburger with fries and mozzarella sticks with soda and beer. Wish we lived closer as this was our kinda place to hang at. We'll definitely be back when in Big Rapids. I'd definitely give them a chance I'd you're in the area. They have a nice menu with a helpful staff and many drinks available.
Their sweet potato fries are Excellent. We went during happy hour so discount on drinks too! Sat at the bar.Food: 5/5
Really enjoyed the Gypsy Nickel. When we got there, the restaurant was about to put us on a wait list, but they were able to find us a table inside to accommodate the nine of us. The appetizers were fast to the table and the meals came at the right time afterwards. My teenage daughter got a virgin Pina Colada and she loved it. I was thankful for a vegan option on the menu. The service was fantastic! I believe our waitress was new, but she did an excellent job serving us all. Highly recommend, especially if you're visiting from out of town like we were.
Went here on a whim! The ambiance is fantastic outside next to the river! The food was fantastic! Service was also fantastic! No wait time and our food came out fast!
Love this place. It reminded me of an old time bar. They have large booths and low and high top tables. The staff are very friendly and quickly on their feet. Our waitress was fun, helpful with our choices and very friendly. The food was excellent. We have a really good time where we had good food and were able to talk without having to shout. Kid-friendliness: There were several tables with kids around us and they seemed to be having a good time. Parking: Located right next to the restaurant and it was plenty big enough.
Excellent food and beer selection. Also a nice menu of cocktails. The Firecracker Shrimp is amazing but in general all good is good. The river setting is beautiful during warm weather months. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Big Rapids.
Since we moved to BR we have only heard great things about this place, so we decided to drop in after church today. I would categorize my burger as a top shelf restaurant style hamburger. I quickly recognized it as the best burger I’ve had in Big Rapids better than several others I’ve had around town. I had the “Jack Burger”. High quality beef, perfectly melted jack cheese, freshly cooked bacon, crispy onion petals, bbq sauce, and a great pretzel bun. A+ Fries were top of the class too. Great first impression, we’ll be back soon looking for a repeat performance.
Great food, and environment. Sat at the bar for dinner d/t the wait list. AnnMarie was in the bar area solo and was on top of everything! Very kind and seemed to enjoy her job. We will be back!
First time going there tonight with my husband and definitely the last time. Not busy, so the lack of service we received was not necessary. Horrible drinks and food. Waited 20min to be greeted by our server after being sat down. Bloody Mary was so strong that is was un-drinkable Husband orders the spring rolls, those were good. I ordered Spin dip and it was by far the worst we've ever had. Bland is an understatement That was it, we couldn't do it anymore. My stomach started to flip, so we paid our bill and left. Went to BDubs and they definitely saved our dinner date
Came upon this place by accident and really enjoyed it. Had their Fat Noodle soup and it was very tasty. Good drink selection and very nice bartender. Hope to return somedayFood: 5/5
