July 2025 5*nnVisited the gurudwara sahib and really feel blessed. The guru ghar is around 5 kms away from Surrey Central Station. You can either take taxi or bus to Guru ghar.nnIt is one of the main gurudwara in Surrey. The main hall is not very big but it is still quite spacious. The main hall and langer hall are on the main floor only. It is fully accessible if you need any help.nnLanger hall free kitchen is big and it is really amazing to get the food. It was very delicious and well organized.nnThere are washroom next to shoe rack. There is big parking area outside.nnThere is Sikh academy and other service are located in the premises. Really blessed experience.
Gurdwara Dasmesh Darbar is very clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The sewadars are kind and always ready to help. The langar is fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere is calm and respectful. It’s a great place to connect with Waheguru and find peace. Always feel blessed after visiting.
Place foments divisiveness and separatist ideas. What was considered a place of worship is now vitiated by an aggressive vibe which takes away from the peace of the place. Not only is this taking Sikhism away from its message of universal brotherhood its also encouraging narrow minded political agendas.nnAlso, they dont issue tax registered receipts for donations when i went there a while ago. Thus I wasn't comfortable donating anymore. I've stopped going to Gurudwaras now that promote such sentiments. I'm going there to pray not to listen to their charged political speeches.nnLastly, we came to Canada to become Canadians not to support separate states in a different country.
Gurdwara Saheb Dasmesh Darbar in Surrey is a peaceful and welcoming place for spiritual reflection. The kirtan is uplifting, and the langar exemplifies Sikh values of equality and service. The community here is warm, and the gurdwara is well-maintained. A must-visit for anyone seeking peace and connection.
Very peaceful place and thousands people eat langar which is very helpful to those people who can't afford the food they can eat here free,
