Broken pumps, rude cashier. Only had supreme but didn’t have a sign to say so. Horrible.
Friendly folks work here. Some of the tourists could use some coaching on proper manners in the store but other than that its a good pit stop. I usually stop here when visiting Fundy National Park to fuel up, grab snacks, or even restock on liquor.
This morning, in Alma, we couldn’t get into our hire car with the key fob because of an electrical fault. Neither my wife or I had a signal on our cell phones and at 6.30am the XTR gas station was the only business that was open. Graham’s generosity of spirit was amazing. He let my wife borrow his brand new! cell phone and we were over an hour on the phone as the breakdown service worked out and then explained how we could enter our car. When the car wouldn’t start, Graham then offered the use of his truck so that we could get some breakfast while we were waiting for the Ford mechanic. We’re so sorry that we missed Graham when we returned to XTR to thank him after the mechanic eventually got our car going but the mechanic needed to get back to Moncton and we wanted to go in convoy in case our electrics failed again. Probably only place to get gas in Alma. You will have to go inside and pay before you can fill your tank.
