A great day out place with a small beach. There are BBQ stands as well. Overall peaceful when less people are here. They provide parking for $15.50 for a day.
Guelph Lake is a wonderful place for those taking up sailing. It has a co-op sailing club and amazing trails, parks and small family friendly beaches along its shore. All of that with the convenience of being close to a larger city.
Nice relaxing environment in the day use area for a picnic, even though there were a lot of people doing smelly activities like smoking cigarettes, lighter fluid on bbq, and even a hookah. However, for swimming, the water is not that nice and considering you have to pay to get in, there was quite a bit of garbage around. If you have to pay I would expect the area would be nicely maintained. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Nice and quiet lake not too overcrowded.
We camped over the long weekend and for the most part enjoyed our time. However, what was particularly disturbing was their portable toilets were full needing to be emptied and lacked toilet paper from Saturday to Sunday. Hoping that doesn't happen again to anyone.
Love the area, so we'll connected to the city by bike
A very nice place to spend time with the family and have lunch with a barbecue, but the entrance fee for a family of seven or more people is high and the value of the annual card, that is, the subscription is 130$ and this is also high because the summer is very short. We hope that the price of the entry ticket will be lower and on the idea of such places in the world be free and thank you
Nice place to camp. Wish the water was a little cleaner. Good hiking trails.
I don’t like to write a negative review. However, I was shocked to see the state of the beach and the park after almost two years of quarantine. The beach and the park connected to it became a raccoon community latrines full with large amount of feces, geese dropping and it's a dangerous roundworm and Ecoli. In addition to, Old confusing notices from last year quarantine and plenty of garbage on the ground. Really, shame on the management of this park.
Beautiful to visit in Winter, can walk in skis or over the lake
