Such a great workout and relaxed atmosphere. Kids programs are fun Shout out to Mel, Zack, Donovan, Mackenzie and the friendly staff at the front desk that make a great Americano.nnI've been going twice a week for 3 months now and have never been able to sustain a gym routine for that long, because climbing is actually fun!

We had a birthday party, kids enjoyed the activities and the party, staff were super friendly and supportive. Definitely recommend it!

Awesome Facility to spend time with friends and family. Busy hours are from 4-8 throughout the week and Saturdays/ Sundays are usually pretty busy in the afternoon towards the evening. Throughout the week the gym opens early for a members climb so if you have time you can get there before work and pump out some quiet climbing hours. The gym is completely open concept giving you almost complete visuals of each wall from the front of the gym. Two large boulders I'm between two top rope structures give plenty of space for climbing with a large kids climbing section on the back of the left top rope structure. With the gym still being under construction, new activities are being added regularly. At the back of the gym just past the far boulder there is a silks area where silks classes are performed. On the other side of the boulder is a Hydraulic wall Kilter board and beyond that is a decent sized workout room with free weights and workout equipment available to use. At the front of the gym above the change room there is a semi hidden room upstairs. This room contains a Moon board and a newly finished Campus board for Training purposes. If your into climbing and want to get better, I suggest checking out the Guelph Grotto!

I started climbing at the Grotto in 1993 and hadn't been back in many years since I moved back to Guelph last summer. I worked there as a climber instructor for 2 years in the mid-nineties. The owner Dave Perrozzo runs a very good gym with competent and friendly staff. We have had our daughter involved in their indoor and outdoor training programs for the last year and she has developed tremendously! I would suggest a program within the gym to pair up experienced climbers who are new to the gym, would be a great initiative as well. The gym has made huge strides in wall surface area and infrastructure since I started there. I'm climbing regularly again after having walked away from it for nearly 30 years and it feels great!

Pleeease please get some sort of ventilation, more fans or some sort of air conditioning. I love this gym but it is nearly impossible to climb here in the summer without feeling like you’re going to get heatstroke just by climbing a few climbs. Even if memberships had to be raised by a few dollars I feel that all of the members would be so thankful to actually be able to climb. I feel that I can’t get as much out of my membership right now because it is always at least 5-10 degrees hotter in the gym with so much humidity. This is my only problem with this gym and I hope that this please gets some attention for the sake of all the climbers here.
