Considering it is Hanukkah and I work very close to the area I had decided to go on a quest to locate some Surf ganiot!!! My quest was completed when I entered the doors and I could smell and see all the racks full of fresh Sofganiot. I received assistance right away, I got myself 6 of them 2 of each and I will try them and no not all at the same time, I don't want to ruin my dinner lol Very friendly service from the gentleman who assisted me. I would totally recommend these guys they're very friendly courteous and fast. And of course the food looks and smells delicious
Was able to buy a last minute chocolate mousse cake for my wife’s birthday tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it you make amazing cakes, pastries. Everything’s great all made with love.
Visited to continue our "Carb-atarian" diet, and were very pleasantly surprised to find out how nice this place is. Given the overall down-trodden, outright awful outward appearance of everything ELSE on that section of Bathurst, this place was extraordinary, by comparison. We walked in to find it very clean, well staffed by very informed employees who really seemed to care about their business. They had a tremendous selection of a variety of baked goods ranging from cookies to cakes and a multitude of specialty breads. We took home some Gingersnap cookies and 2 loaves of "Sweet bread", and a Blueberry loaf. They were absolutely delicious, especially if you buttered the sliced Blueberry loaf and pan seared it, so the butter browned up to give one edge of the bread a gentle crisp. The place is a MUST VISIT.. .if you can look past the abject filth that is everywhere AROUND this little gem. Well done Grodzinski!!!!!! We will absolutely be back!
The owner of this bakery did not seem to understand my concern when I inquired for a customized birthday cake for my daughter. Despite my email, he asked me to call him and when I did, he nagged on me as to the design that I want, belittling the image that I emailed him. His condescending attitude towards future clients is disgusting. The price quote that he gave me is also higher than most other bakeshops that I inquired from. Will never deal with this bakery again.
Delicious goods, don’t get me wrong. but customer service needs improvement. When you come in expect to get looks up and down and feel like you’re being judged for no reason. Also, only one person working/serving customers. One time There was this one obese girl that came in behind the cash register and just ignored me while filling up her coffee and just giving rude looks. Acting as if she’s home not caring about customers until I asked if there’s anyone else working other than the one older man that’s always there but he was busy and after 5 minutes of me standing there she decided to serve me lol while serving she knocked the powder off two donuts by the way, not sure if that was purposeful but thought I should mention it. Another funny thing, after I paid, I didn’t even exit the door yet and I heard her having a mini tantrum. People with bad energy should not be in the service industry. But the food is great just don’t take it personally if you notice the misery of these people.
With over 100 years of baking tradition Grodzinski has a Kosher treat for everyone and all ages. Sweet cookies in fanciful shapes remind we of my childhood. Proper rye breads and challahs both sweet and plain. Baked goods galore and always a friendly smile from the staff. This place is a gem and we need to stop losing our gems so let’s support them as best we can. Put your dollars in small and local not big box. Well, I work here so I am bound to say good things, but we are really an amazing bakery. come and try it yourself.
Taking advantage of people and selling stale food. Why is there no expiration date on your baked goods?
Came in to buy suvganiot and the owner rolled her eyes when i asked for icing sugar to be put on them, they weren't even fresh probably from the morning as i took one bite and it had crunch to it, the jam inside wasn't really a jam. Clearly not fresh like she said. I also bought a berry loaf cake and there was hardly any berries in it, so disappointing. Sad to say I will not ever be going back.Thornhill location
A great bakery with a lot of things to choose from! I particularly liked the "crostini-like" crackers topped with herbs and garlic spread. They have some nice frosted cookies in different shapes that aren't too sweet.
