The folks at this historic and beautiful place are down to earth and very welcoming, they allowed our cameras to capture sights & sounds on a very sunny day in 2017, we recommend you stop by have some much and take a walk around this wonderful setting Thank yo staff !

I loved having some tea, a bowl of soup, and their rustic soda bread here. Real down-home food. Check out the gardens if it's in season and get a guided tour if you can.

Went to Public screening of new Food Show " Quest for the West." We enjoyed the well run presentation with Show host and some of the crew, such as producer etc. Chris who runs the Historic Grist Mill prepared great snacks and appetizers with local Apple Juice, CoffeeTea and local Twisted Cider. Mmm SO good! Check website for up coming events.

Super cool heritage site. Try and time it to be there for the tour. It is very cool to see this technology of the time working as well as it does. Cuyler, the guide we had was a super knowledgeable and friendly guy to talk with and share his knowledge. My kids, 12, 10 and 7 all found it very interesting to learn.

Charged $7 even though the mill wasn't working so basically charged to see nothing, and wasn't informed it wasn't working until after we paid. Sanitary regulations were none existent. Improper washing of dishes (poured soap in a cup then rinsed with water and then served it; no use of the proper 3 sink rule; soap, sanitize with a proper sanitizer for 35 seconds, rinse, air dry) no one was wearing gloves when handling the food, cooks went from serving, handling cash, to cooking without washing their hands. Very disgusting! Server also had her fingers in her mouth biting her nails touched our food and served it without washing her hands. Portion size was only a problem because of the relatively high price. Food was about 7/10 despite the sanitary problems... If these things were corrected this would be a nice little spot to visit, but for now not a location we will be visiting again. You can have a friendly staff but if no one knows what there doing or have proper training then what's the point? You will eventually be shut down or go out of business.
