I've never had an issue with customer service or pricing at all but the actual service is awful, at least in my area. I've never lived anywhere where the power goes out or flickers randomly without warning every few weeks. Sometimes it's out for minutes, sometimes it's out for hours. I obviously understand power outages during storms and other types of damage once a car hit a power pole down the road from us. But these are from no storm, no known maintenance, just outages. In the past 4 years since we moved to our home and Greystone is the only power company we can use, our power has to have gone out easily over a dozen times if not more, but the frequency has definitely increased in the last 2 years. January of 2023 alone our power went out 3 times. Once an outage fried the computer in our brand new air conditioning unit. Luckily the part was under warranty but we did have to pay hundreds of dollars to have a surge protecting outlet for it installed. We also have to turn off our breaker sometimes when the power is out because as they are "fixing" it, the power flickers often and we're afraid of it damaging other non surge protected electronics like security cameras and appliances. What is the deal with this company? Is the equipment outdated? Can they not support the number of customers they provide power to? I would honestly like to know to at least be able to explain the ridiculous number of outages.
I have been a coop member for about two years now, I've rarely had any power-outage issues our power has gone out maybe twice and always back in less than 24 hours. Customer service has been fine, they responded very quickly after I reported a downed powerline across the street.
Worse customer service horrible extra fees . There was a typo in my account number I’ve been charged multiple reconnect and disconnect fees. Whack service, price gauging extra fees with no breaks or exceptions! Terrible
Some how Autopay wasn't set up. But paperless was...? OK. 60$ worth of usage and 445$ in fees the following month. Crazy
The worst power company I have ever been with. Random fees out of nowhere. Will not even work with you to take them off even though I've been a customer for three years. They should be ashamed and put out of business.
Greystone Power has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I Just spoke to an agent named Lakeitta and she was extremely rude and dismissive for absolutely NO reason. Its 9:30 in the morning. Who's that nasty early in the morning. I couldn't even ask questions before she cut me off and her tone was horrible. very nasty attitude. She should not be customer facing at all. No one should have to be subjected to that type of behavior. Greystone Power. Do Better!
I wish the complex I reside in offered Georgia power to all units and not certain numbers. The worst electric company I've ever had to deal with.
12 hours without power and there wasn’t even a storm. Initial communication was fine. Originally they estimated it would take 3 hours to resolve. At one point the automated text system said the problem was resolved when we were still without power. I had to report the outage was still ongoing on the website. The estimated time to resolve then changed to 10:13PM. That was the last update from GreyStone. Power finally came back on around 5AM. I’m not confident in their competence to diagnose and fix a problem. Seeing the many other poor reviews leads me to believe this is a long-standing problem with GreyStone that will not be fixed.
Horrible utility company. Greystone make it hard for seniors to pay their bill over the phone. Charging $3.50 to use this system that does not work for the pass two months. We need you to repair the pay by phone. Other utilities company work with their seniors. Not Greystone I have tried no positive results.
So far they’re giving me a bad taste. They’re more than comfortable to allow vets to go with electric. Even when I asked to pay for emergency services. That to me shows they don’t care about the well being of their clients.
