Beautiful historic site. My hiking friend enjoyed the video presentation while I roamed the gardens. The dining area where they floated dishes in the "pool table" was fascinating. Gorgeous house, but those grounds were incredible. A very interesting side trip on our way to the falls in the area.
A gem of a place to visit. To see where this man grew up before doing so much for our country and forests is quite amazing. To sit at the "Finger Bowl" where many a great meeting and floating dinner were served, is truly evoking. A must visit!
Completed footprint for placement of Pinchot Fire Tower circa 1921. Almond forestry trail. A kiosk will eventually be placed next to it and offers a history of the tower. Pa. Has rebuilt a number of fire towers. The original Alidade will be available for viewing as well.
Really nice place for a walk. Quiet, free to enter the grounds and free parking. Beautifully maintained gardens and historic house.
November 2020, the mansion is closed, but the rangers are still there, sharing stories about the property. In addition, they've a short looping video about the family and property. The grounds are lovely. It's a wonderful place.
The history and story behind Grey Towers is of great historical value!! The grounds are pristine and the staff are friendly. A must stop while in the Pocono Region!! Very family friendly!! Tours are available as well information throughout the grounds.
Very nice place. Must see for everybody who loves this type of architecture. Well-guided tours.
Extremely cool, especially for low / 0 cost. Great architecture and grounds.
Love Grey Towers. It is especially beautiful in Summer & Fall. Lots of history, well preserved, many activities throughout the weekend the mansion hosts many events. There is always something. Incredibly picturesque with gardens, and views of the mountains. Learn about the Pinchot and the US Forest Service.
