My grandmother and parents are buried at Greenfield and care of grounds has detiriated and nobody does anything to try and correct it. My sister was buried there three years ago and all there is on her plot is sand rocks and weeds. They have no respect for our loved ones
I have loved ones on section 64b.i came from out of state to see my parents grave have tire marks& no grass ,sunken.in tears i talked to three men.anthony musante, phil carbone, and jeff.they imediatly jumped into action and fixed the issue
This place is very disrespectful . They ran over my friends site and ruined all the stuff we left for him , left it for us to find and when we brought it to their attention ,they informed us that we aren't allowed to leave things at grave site . Heart breaking that a cemetery can be so cold and disrespectful to people of loved ones oamd to the sites
I have always found the Greenfield cemetery to be a very soothing and beautiful place for me to feel close to my love ones.
I want to thank the Director and his staff. The deacon from our church died. It was a rainy day, cold etc. Our church was able to pau our respects and farewell. I also want to thank the foreman and his crew. Great job God bless!
Went to visit the family plot today. The front of the cemetery, near the offices, was perfectly landscaped. The older section, where our plot is, had grass over growing the stones. The grass was cut with a mower but apparently the cemetery only uses a weed whacker where the offices are. It was disgraceful. I would be embarrassed to be a maintenance worker. But this is obviously a direct reflection on the head of the maintenance department. It would not have looked like this if the supervisor cared at all. So sad. It never used to be like this.
Seems every time I have had to have contact with personnel they are very curt. It's like they are doing you a favor by even talking to you. There's no warmth. They changed the "manager" of this cemetery a few years back and it hasn't been positive. I'm not sure what they are supposed to do there, as far as upkeep, however, there isn't any as far as I can see. The graves can get quite overgrown if you aren't a regular there. Once I had a very large planter, with flowers, on my son's grave and when we went back 2 weeks later, it was gone. Someone stole it. I think the fence should be higher there because it is bordered by residential are; the fence is very, very low. So either someone from the bordering town stole it or someone decided to take it for their own grave. We bought another plot there and now we are moving so I want to sell it. I was told you can ONLY sell it back to Greenfield at the price you bought it for, minus $150 for a change of deed fee. Amazing that the prices may have very well gone up for a plot, however, they only buy it back for what you paid and then will sell it for a higher fee and you are out $150!!! The town of Hempstead sure can find ways to take your money and make a profit on what you bought and now have to return. The other side of the cemetery is much nicer that the part where my son is buried along with my Dad.
The best cemetery In Nassau Co. Staff are great people. We are very proud to have this cemetery for low income families. Thanks God bless you all.
i went to visit cleo today. very disappointed with the staff. they were rude and called me bad things. i just wanted to visit my loved one cleo. cleo was one of the most important things of my life. i should have never buried her under shameful dirt. how disgraceful. this is crazy. emma, rikki and lewis, her closest friends are sometimes NEVER aloud to visit her dead body. they say they want to un dog her and eat her. i agree. sometimes u can see her tail when it rains she’s a mermaid and the workers chop some off and eat it simeon weaseling venmo me
Visited today, finding relatives' graves. Visited with the office and all there were very friendly and helpful.
