First time eating out in a long time. Went on a lunch date with hubby. I ordered Pho Tai. It was so good! I never finish my pho because it becomes overly salty and too one-note after awhile, but not this pho. I finished mine and felt sooo full and content the rest of the day. Also ordered milk tea, which was yummy. Wish there wasn't a tapioca shortage, but that's really the only complaint I have...
We have been to Green Basil several times now & always very pleased! Their food is so fresh & the combination of flavors is superb. We always leave with food to enjoy again at home since we order the soup &/or appetizer before our entre. I hope Green Basil remains open in Naperville, as we’ll definitely go there more often!
My sorority sister and I love Pho. After we finished volunteering, for an organization in Aurora, we were hungry. I Googled for a place near us to get Pho and the Green Basil Restaurant came up in the list. We visited their website and the pictures of the food were enticing. In addition to that, we took notice that reviews gave 5 stars. That made us want to go. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, my sister and I knew this restaurant was special. It is quaint with a charming atmosphere. The host/waiter Patrick was awesome! He gave us excellent customer service. The restaurant also had my sister and I at the glass of water they serve. They have a unique recipe of refreshing water, that we called spa water. It was so refreshing to drink that it was all that we both wanted to drink. The FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS! My Soror and I are complete Foodies. We sincerely appreciate great quality food and everything we ate at Green Basil did not disappoint. We both had a an appetizer order of the Chicken Wings and a bowl of Pho Gá with a side of Meatballs. I have eaten Pho at many restaurants around the country. The Pho at Green Basil was very delicious with a surprise element of a half boiled egg added....yum! Adding to the surprise was Chef Nick came out to meet and speak to my sister and I. We plan to definitely go back to Green Basil when in the area again.
We've been coming here since it used to be called Green Basil. There's now a new management. The food is amazing as always. The service is great. Newly remodeled interior looks nice.Food: 5/5
Best Vietnamese in Naperville without a doubt! So excited to have finally tried Green Basil as I've heard that they're good, and they blown my expectations! The pho's broth is so good, beautiful flavors, not artificial but has deep character. The meat in the pho or vermicelli plate are delicious! Especially the grilled pork! The fried rice. 5/5! Lots of ingredients inside which makes it stand out, with sweet BBQ pork, fried egg stripes, and delicious giant shrimps. Mix them up and you get golden yummy goodness per mouthful!
The atmosphere is lovely The pho was soooo good!! I got the pho Chicago and had some dietary restrictions they helped me out with no problem. Fast, friendly and delicious
I've gotten a lot of food to go during covid from Green Basil. They are very courteous they hand sanitizer before picking up the receipt and handing it over. Their food is DELICIOUS! I'm a drive 1.5 hours during the weekend to get pho at Tank Noodle in Uptown, but this place makes that unnecessary. Adapted really well to covid to go methods. Always a pleasure to order, interact and eat from them : Keep it up!! Thank you!
- Pictured is the 301 bowl. - Great ambiance. Was nice and quiet on the Saturday I visited. It was rainy that day. - Meatballs are a little on the tougher side. - Broth is good but a little too fatty. However still savory. - Very generous with the meats. - Noodles are good but not as spongy as others. - Worth it if you’re in the Naperville area. - There is parking right along the restaurant but there is public parking about a block away.
I was surprised to find this place in downtown Naperville tucked on the corner on Jefferson with ample parking. The pho was average but I was disappointed in the yellow curry. They have a bar and also serve smoothies and bubble tea. It's an average place with average food and I may go back to try their sandwiches. If you are in the mood for Vietnamese food and live close by and or in the neighborhood? Sure give them a try but I won't drive here for 20 minutes as a destination restaurant. There were two servers who were both very attentive and they get plus points for location and parking.
I love that we have a good Vietnamese Restaurant in the West Suburb. I can say that this place never disappoints me when it comes to the food they serve. We have come here for lunch numerous times and it is always pack. Food servings not as big as in any Argyle restaurant but hey, this is close. We will always come back. I wish they offer more dessert items. We enjoyEd the food here. The appetizer wings were delicious. The pho was good as well. My meal with steak was cooked very well. One drawback is that the service was slow. It didn't bother us particularly but I could see how it could be a problem.
