Local cafe in the Bonnie Doon neighborhood! Great options for breakfast and lunch! Had braised beef poutine and breakfast sandwich + tater tots. The tater tots are interesting, different from what people would expect! It has a distinctive rosemary aroma and the potato is shredded and fried! Street parking is available along the neighborhood and it has a dog friendly patio space for summer!
We just found this little gem quite by accident. Located in a house that has been transformed into a cafe. The backyard is an enormous patio with tables and umbrellas of every description. We had an iced coffee under those umbrellas on a very hot day. Try the free ice water flavored with lavender. Delightful!
Great Green Ash Latte Special and Macaron! Excellent decor and amazing that the house got converted and torn down! Amazing Ruby Hot chocolate strawberry flavour, Chocolate Macaron and Match Cookie! This place is so quaint, great and local. Every time I come here, I look forward to eating and drinking something new! They even served the desserts on a plate with a page ripped out, from “The Notebook.” 5/5 stars one of the best little coffee shop places in the city. Locally owned too!
Lovely cafe with interesting drinks and food. My sisters and I love going to this place. We’ve brought our cousins and parents here as well. One of our top go-to cafes. I always treat myself to a matcha eispennier with strawberry jam, where else can you get this kind of matcha drink? something other than matcha and milk in it compared to a majority of cafes The four cheese pasta is my favourite dish in the menu so far. Cheesy and soft. Although quite pricey so it’s more of a treat when I order it. Giant macarons are fun and tasty. Cookies and hash browns come with a unique flavour. Keep in mind, there’s only one bartender/waitress and one or two cooks in the back so wait times can sometimes take a while. Definitely worth the wait if you plan on staying in where there’s some space on the main floor, the colder basement to cool of on, or to enjoy the sun outside in the patio.
The place is nooked in a residential area so there is tons of parking. Menu has lots of choices and service is relatively quick. We came during a rush and Matt did a great job managing. I have mixed feelings about the Zucchini grill cheese but if you ask for it extra crispy it would probably be amazing Espiecally if your normally a toast person.
A very lovely, cozy, small cafe with the cutest touches. Love all the greenery, the artwork, the interior design/atmosphere in general and the neighbourhood. The coffee is delicious and they have great prices. I can’t wait to come back and use the space to work/study and try their food. I would highly recommend this spot!
Very cosy café in a repurposed house in Bonnie Doon! The patio is the ‘back yard’ which is very cool. The lunch options were great - I had a delicious turkey blt and fries very well seasoned. To drink I had the house made grapefruit soda which was super refreshing on a hot day. I’ll be back to try their coffee!
Gotta love a pup friendly patio. Cute place, great coffee, lovely staff. Bonus points for bringing my dog a bowl of ice water unprompted, and offering her treats.
Excellent service, food and drinks in Edmonton!! Staff were extremely friendly and the short rib sandwich is so good! i’m still dreaming of this purple cloud drink that i had there. i think i would drive from calgary to edmonton just to have it! Green Ash is a must if you’re in Edmonton!
I remember walking by before they opened and before I know what this would be and wondering about the air unit on the roof would be - well it turns out it is for a fantastic little cafe! I popped in on holiday Monday and was blown away by the quality and the amount of work they put into making this a beautiful coffee shop in the area - it is gorgeous in there and I can very much imagine enjoying doing some work on the patio. I had an espresso, cappuccino, a brew coffee and a cup of their soup of the day beef veg - all were very good - the cappuccino had good weight to it and the espresso was a nice shot; as much as I love ACE coffee it is nice to see them not using it, ACE has taken over YEG and some verity is a nice change, I was unfamiliar with the brand they are using - but it is pretty good. Wish them the best.
