To start, we had the house-made bread which was delicious. For dessert, we had bougatsa. The portions were just right, and we left feeling full and satisfied. The restaurant was quite busy. The charming atmosphere added to the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Grecos for a delicious dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch!
Bar with all seniors and professional waiters. We tried mussel that was amazingly good. The lamb chops also was delicious. However, its Linguini with Clams not that much good. Bread and some salmon sauce also offered as free appetizer which was tasty .
This was our first time at this restaurant and we were honestly blown away. We travel a lot all over the world and are used to pretty good restaurants but this one threads the needle really perfectly between high quality food and the family service and atmosphere. Everything we ate was top-notch and the price value is off the charts. They could charge double what they are charging and still have a full restaurant.
Great place to have some nice Greek food. They’ve also got some Italian food sprinkled in the menu as well if you’re up for that. The prices and portion sizes are fair for the kind of restaurant it is, and the service is just right. The restaurant itself is narrow but long, with a bar area.
avoid. Overrated and overpriced. I got this dish and the first bit was an explosion of salt. When our waiter asked about the food, I mentioned it’s too salty and he said it’s a very common criticism. Basically this special dish, that I paid $27 for, can be summarized in: salty boiled meat, bland cooked vegetables. Anybody can do a better job at home. Shame on the cook. Only reason I’m adding 1 more star is because of the honesty that our gentleman waiter showed.
My favorite restaurant for about 20 years now! Perfect even-keel place. Staff are professional and friendly, food is delicious, it's a classy joint, but not pretentious, prices are very respectable. Recently had spanakopita, of course their patented potatoes, and drumroll....... lamb shanks Chef's recommendation ..... amazeballs!! I love this place!!!
Definitely would go back. From complimentary salmon roe appy, to main course this restaurant serves excellent Greek food. Servers are very friendly and efficient, and we had our table for as long as we wanted-no hurry to get us out the door, even though there was a line up. Note for those with mobility issues the washrooms are down a steep set of stairs.
My family and I had our dinner in this place, on our way back to Toronto. Was a great experience. The staff were polite, professional and came up with many great recommendations. The food taste was even better. Highly recommend it.
I’ve officially been twice. The food is good! Some of the meals are much better than others on their menu, but overall the food is good and are large portions. Their free appetizer is delicious. The waiters are sympathetic and really nice. They are quite busy, reserving is the safe bet.
Greco's...it's a staple in Kingston! One of the finest and best places to eat in Kingston. The food...oh my, beyond delicious. The atmosphere is intimate and quaint. The staff were personable and we had such a great dinner. It's a GEM of a place. Make reservations or you wont get in, very popular!! Kudos to Jimmy and the staff! Well Done!!!!
