My name is Sidharth, I was an international student I am writing this review because my experience at Great Plains College Warman campus pushed me into a very stressful and depressing situation.nnIn my second semester, I received low marks on an assignment. I was not satisfied with the grading, so I approached my instructor Tammy and asked for clarification. She told me to submit the assignment to the college evaluation team and said that if they approved it, she would be fine with giving me the marks.nnI followed her instructions and submitted the assignment. After it was reviewed, I was told that the assignment was actually fine. However, Tammy still refused to give me the marks. She did not stand by what she told me earlier.nnAfter this, I went to Deanna and explained the whole situation, but she simply said it was not her responsibility. My question is: if that was the case, why did Tammy guide me in that direction in the first place?nnTo make things worse, one day Tammy asked me to leave the classroom in front of everyone. That moment was extremely humiliating and embarrassing for me.nnThe following week we had another assignment from the same instructor. I spent a lot of time and effort completing it properly, but again she did not give me any marks for it. This was very frustrating and mentally draining.nnI submitted a formal complaint explaining everything that happened. Unfortunately, the response from the college was extremely disappointing. They did not even mention the classroom incident and instead told me to redo the assignment in front of them at the college. This response only made the situation more stressful for me.nnSome of my friends supported me and knew what happened, but I realized that even if higher authorities are involved, the final decision still remains in the hands of the same people.nnAs an international student, I feel very disappointed with how this situation was handled. The college may speak politely on the outside, but my experience made me feel that international students are not treated fairly.nnI would not recommend this college based on my experience.

Overall a great college. I took the Heavy Equipment course here in 2016. My instructor was great. You will learn the basic operations of your specific equipment that you’ve chosen.nnHowever, completing the course does NOT GUARANTEED you a job or even start off at an higher wage as opposed to someone who doesn’t have their HEO tickets. You will most likely start off operating a PACKER, just like every greenhorn starting out Heavy Equipment.nnIf you know absolutely nothing about heavy equipment operation. I suggest taking this course to dip your toes. If you have any clue whatsoever. Save your money and buy a house.nnMy 2 cents.
Beautiful facility for sporting events in the gymnasium
I had a really great experience at this college. They are absolutely GREAT! Flexible and they accommodate to your needs! I recommend this college to anyone for sure. The coordinators and teachers are very friendly to students!
